  1. It's rubbish. We need a newly tooled one.
  2. Would beat the 65th reissue of the '66 Galaxie and that stupid Dog Catcher or whatnot by lightyears, no? I just can't believe that they fail to understand that we would knock each others heads in to get things like a '58 Pontiac reissue. Well, in fact, they failed to update their website for three Months.
  3. The nicest body shape has the Lindberg kit.
  4. Sorry, did a re-org of my Photobucket, hence all photo links I posted hitherto are broken. Will check which ones I can repair in due course. However, if non-automotive kits are OK, how about these? The plastic colours of these are even more baked than the box art: Then there is this:
  5. I paint the inside of the body, the outside of the interior and the upper side of the chassis flat black. Why you may ask. Yes, why indeed. Because Dennis Doty told me so.
  6. Same here. Just glue a spacer made from Evergreen on top of the manifold and whack on a big motherless air cleaner. Job done. Oh wait, how would this work with SU side darughts?
  7. Imagine how convenient it would be, if you just press a 'Like' button when someone posted something you -well- like. Also, imagine how this would delight whoever posted the post you like. This would spare us pages of this "nice paint", "good job", "well done" as well as countless "I agree" posts, and the poster/ess of the post you like still being aware that you appreciate what he/she posted. It would also be an easy way for you to express your appreciation without having to post another post. Discuss.
  8. Even for seven or eight years I find it thin. Let alone 40. Don't they see the runaway success of the diecasters? Don't they realise, that we would knock each other's heads in for stuff we have been requesting for forty years??? That proposal you made should be in production by Summer. Summer 1976 that is. What's the bloody hold on for 39 years? On a different note, we both seem to be in this game fairly equally long. Of all the things Round2/AMT could be reissuing, don't you find their selections of the past three years slightly underwhelming? Or am I again the only one? Where is the Detroit of the kit industry? Laidback, Idleho? Meh.
  9. That's slightly thin for 40 years, don't you think?
  10. I'm repeating myself. Nothing has changed the past 40 odd years. I mean, everything has changed, but not the model kit industry. I love your proposal. I especially love the effort you put into it.
  11. And? Obviously I'm the only one around here, who thinks the purpose of model kit companies is to make tools, release kits, and sell them. I mean, I wouldn't ask my plumber to do it, would I now? Although, on second thoughts and based on my experience the past 40 years, it might be more worthwhile.
  12. Yeah, just wait. Same goes for all who want to build the BTTF.
  13. Very nice, but they didn't listen, so nothing changed in those 40 odd years.
  14. Just be patient.
  15. I'm going to get decals made for this: The real stuff is still available: Maybe I should get some and see my taylor?
  16. Chapron did make coupes as well, the Concorde for example.
  17. I hope they give us the facelift.
  18. Let's see - a vividly coloured one, a black one, a police one, a Thissier loadrunner conversion, the Fantomas one and one that gets messed up. That's how many? Gosh, it's going on 20 years I have last bought a casepack.
  19. Model kits are released, people buy them and thus the market grows. Now there is a business concept I'd never have figured out myself in a week of Sundays. Someone should tell the model kit industry.
  20. That's what I assumed as well. RONG R ME Yeah, but for the money they ask I'd expect somewhat better quality.
  21. Just paint it that colour and say it's an ID.
  22. Actually, they changed between some incarnation and another. Initially they were open-work, but then morphed into relief. The Matchbox-AMT issue I built eons ago certainly didn't have them open anymore. Here you can see them centre left from the "Autobahn" version: Here they are centre right from the "Prestige" version:
  23. It looks to me like the R4 is a completely different tool that is not related to the Ebbro at all.
