  1. OK, it needs paint. But apart from that I like it. There are remarkably few tasty As on the web.
  2. Don't get me started... On a more serious note: There are many nuances between black and white. "if the Hudson Hornet was tooled up in 1/24th, no one would of bought it?" No, not no one would have bought it. All the people who don't care what scale it is in would have bought it. But numerous people who do care about scale would not have bought it, which translates to less sales over all. If I'd run the biz, I'd fight for each and every customer, so to maximise sales, satisfying the people who do care about scale does seem to be such a no-brainer to me.
  3. Even in scientific terms this is bloody beautiful.
  4. The alternator could have been mounted in a more discreet location and for that steering wheel he should be dragged out to the car park and shot. Twice.
  5. I would never ever buy from a website that is so badly maintained. It's impossible to tell whether the company is still in business at all.
  6. Do you have one of these: http://market.allhailtheblackmarket.com/market/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=50&zenid=e31b7217f0f9a2fc886606f85f184aa9
  7. I really like this one. Which kit is it based on?
  8. 1:25 scale is as typically American, as Hamburgers, Coca Cola, Harley Davidson and Rock'n'Roll. It is part of the American culture and heritage. Don't mess with it.
  9. It's a Tom Daniel kit, thus I want it. When I was a kid, I couldn't afford Tom Daniel kits, when I had grown up, I couldn't afford them less than ever, then came the reissues and I was grateful for each and every one. For some odd reason, the Badman is among the few that have so far eluded me. I'm very happy to have the chance to finally add it to my collection, and with decent box art of the man himself. I met Tom a few years ago and he is one of the nicest persons I know.
  10. I can't believe people born before 2000 are talking about DOH.
  11. Same here, since we can wait until doomsday to get newly tooled kits of similar subjects.
  12. The subject matter dictates the age of the kit in most cases. If I want to build a - say - '64 Cadillac, there is simply no alternative to the ancient Jo-Han rubbish.
  13. [anorak mode]A '49 Ford convertible was never made by AMT.[/anorak mode] BTT This would be an epic task. Just to make a list of all model kits is practically impossible, let alone a database of specific components in them.
  14. I don't think there is a sanctioning body that would allow it. But that shouldn't keep anyone away from building a model. This would be a suitable engine, no?
  15. IIRC a Carter WCFB, and the 340hp version a Carter AFB. At least that's what I think the factory put on it.
  16. You freeze it and put it in the JB/RC.
  17. Yeah, you prefer blue and green cars over orange ones.
  18. Lada Riva. Currently being built with a carburetter.
  19. No exposure? Dennis Doty mentions it as a model car source in each and every piece he writes for Collectible Automobile! Shall I tell you why there aren't any models listed on it? Because everyone thinks the legal minefield called 'Ebay' is the philosopher stone, instead of realising what a dismal piece of rip off and circus for con artists it really is.
