  9. "Evening at the Diner" This illustration is influenced by my appreciation of the hot rod car culture that started in the 1940s and 1950s in southern California. How couples, families and singles would gather in their vehicles at the local drive in diner and drive in theater. I created and rendered in 3D and with details added using Photoshop and Rebelle 7. Color correction, contrast, color grading where done in Lightroom. Growing up I enjoyed the art of Frank Frazetta and Norman Rockwell. I also appreciate the work of comic book artists Will Eisner and Jack Kirby. Will Eisner is so highly regarded the comic industry named an award in his honor, "Eisner Award". These is another of my attempts at releasing an image from the prison of my mind. I did not use any AI, AI apps or tools in creating this illustration.

  20. I am giving it good thought. Last year I attended the Atlantic Nationals was in 2017. In 2018 I had to attend my Uncles funeral. Then the show was shut down for a few years and when the Atlantic Nationals were reactivated, my Dad's health took a turn for the worse and I was his primary caregiver for 3 years. Sadly Dad passed September 10, 2024. I am hoping I can make it. Bill Doherty, organizer of the Atlantic Nationals is class #1 act.
