  1. This is my newest `32.... The old AMT, the one thats red on the box. Both the body and the fenders were warped, so I built it fenderless, and I sectioned the body.... Its just a temporary paint job, there are some minor issues on the body I have to fix, but it will be white again 🙂
  2. Well, I made mine into a coupe, grafting the `67 GTO roof and most of the rear deck, unto a Monkees mobile body 🙂
  3. Hi guys This is Monograms Ford Ranger pick up truck. When I was a kid I built the red one, and at some point I added a light bar from a police cruiser. I imagined the truck as a sheriff truck. That idea stuck in my head ever since, and not long ago, I finally decided it was time to build it in a proper way. I am the kind of modelbuilder that build for myself, I build for fun, I build how I like to build it, and I dont care if its realistic, correct or whatever. The color scheme is inspired from old movies where the officers uniforms often were brown/tan. I added some sheriff decals from a Johan kit, and the lightbar is actually THE lightbar, I put on my red Ranger, so many years ago. I just had to widen it a bit, and restore a bit also. So there you have it. The Ranger pick up Sheriffs truck I got the idea for, so many years ago. This time built with better skills than back then, and looking more like a real sheriffs truck 🙂
  4. Yeah, I know the history of the kit, it has been around for a long time. I do love the Monogram funny cars, and I do love the new editions also.... I think its a cool idea to make it into a firechief car, it will look nice next to the Cop Out. I have it also in the Snake/Mongoose combo....
  5. Does anyone knows anything about this kit? Was`nt it supposed to be out now?
  6. Thank you buddy 🙂 Og yes, I know about the paintjobs on the models. I have a couple also just laying around, because I cant decide for the paintjob 😅
  7. Well, it probably has to be my Monogram `36 Ford coupe 😃
  8. Here`s my Monogram `71 Satellite. I tried to build it in the old 70`ties street machine style. I raised the rear end, and used a set of Arii wheels/tires. I mounted a tunnelram on the engine, I think it was a tunnel ram from one of my Monogram `66 Malibu SS, the black high rider. Carbs are 3D printed by a friend of mine, and velocity stacks from the Monogram `70 GTX. The steering wheel was also 3D printed. The paint is Motip automotive spray cans, with Motip clear coat on top. Unfortunately the decals did curl a bit on the edges after clearcoat, but they are old, and theres nothing I could do about it.... Anyway, I am very happy for the model, even though its by no means perfect 😃
  9. That is awesome. I love the color of the taxi. What paint is that?
  10. Hi guys Does anyone have the Revell 1/8 scale L.A. Street chopper, and if so, might you be willing to copy or photograph the instructions for me? I need them for my build.... Thank you
  11. Well, look closely guys, because this is probably the last time you`ll se a factory stock - or at least a not-hot-rodded - model from me, in a long time 😂 This is Monograms `37 Ford panel truck, the Bubble gum edition. I had this idea of doing an old insane asylum truck for a long time. I added the wall behind the seats, and made a litlle hatch, with wire mesh. The back door windows also have wire mesh. I made an emergency light on the roof from a headlight from Monograms `39 Chevy. Sanded the glass smooth, painted it flat white on the inside, and made the cross from a Monogram `69 Camaro decal. On the internet I found the old rendering of the Bloomingdale insane asylum, as it looked after it moved to White Plains, New York. Some places on the internet said that it got a new name after moving to White Plains, but other sites still calls it Bloomingdale insane asylum, when it was located in W.P. Anyway I spend some time on my computer, cleaning up the rendering, and I had a small company here in Denmark, print the decals for me. So it is actually the Bloomingdale insane asylum on the rendering on the side of the truck. I also found a time period correct license plate, from New York. So there you have it guys, the Bloomingdale insane asylum ambulance 🥴🚑

  13. Well, this is interresting. Klaus is a friend of mine, and a very cool guy. I just love his Lady Luck, and its a cool rod to ride in 😁
  14. Hi guys My name is Kim, and here in Denmark its a male name. I am 58 years old and I have been building models since I was around 9-10 years old. I started with aeroplanes (WWII) warships, spaceships, whatever I could get my hands on. But one day (maybe when I was around 12-13) I bought the black `55 Chevy street machine from Monogram, and I did`nt look back. It was american cars ever since. I especially love the old striped boxes Monogram kits, because those were the kits I grew up with. Rarely did I see anything else than Monogram cars. I also fell in love with the Tom Daniel kits, and I have built a lot of show rods also. I mainly build hot rods, customs, gassers, show rods and street machines. I especially love the 70`ties style street freaks. I also like kitbashing and scratchbuilding, and to build chopper bikes (again especially the retro style) and some big rigs now and then. Finally I will just mention my Youtubechannel Kims Kustom Garage, and my FB group, Kims Kustom Garage members group. I look foreward to beeing a part of this forum 😁
  15. WOW 😵 That L.A. Steet Chopper getting reissued, is the best news for me, in several years. MAN is that sweet. Now it would be nice if they followed with the Rough Rider and the Chaingang, both in 1/12 scale..... I am actually working on my L.A. Street Chopper now. The paintjob is by sweedish masterbuilder Claes Beck-Friis.
