  1. This fine entry is a 2001 Corvette built from Revell's '97 Corvette Coupe kit. I cut the rims using a dremel and a knife to mimic the Z06 style. The paint started as Tamiya X-1, then to Model Color black, and eventually settled on black spray enamel that, when it came out perfect, I didn't touch any further. The only things added were the bar behind the seats and the fire extinguisher on it. The front brakes are painted to resemble AP racing brakes (Grey w/ yellow letters) and the rear ones like the Z06 (red). It isn't too crazy on the mods, for it is meant to represent my father's car more than a cannonball runner.

  3. Not yet, but I see many more coming in the future
  4. Used AMT's 1958 Edsel Pacer kit I made this to mimic Laurie's Edsel in American Graffiti. This was built from a 2 door Pacer, so I had to cut new lines for the door and added some extra handles. The side chrome is also extended ever so slightly to match the Corsair, and the only other thing I added is the correct license plate. The color is Testors Turquoise. It took six months to complete, for I was never satisfied with the way the body looked. After seeing this kit for far too long on the bench, I decided it was good enough, and after doing all of the little chrome bits, it now happily resides on the shelf as one of my best models. Thanks for looking
  5. Used AMT's 1934 Ford Sonoco Service Truck kit. Decided it was time for a truck, and this kit caught my eye. Went with Tamiya Lemon Yellow as my color of choice, complimented with the Sunoco decals. The wood boards in the back are cut from the tonneau cover included with the kit and chunks of the parts tree. Overall it was a very nice kit to put together.
  6. Hey guys, I know I'm a but late to the party, but here's my entry: a 2001 Corvette Coupe built to be a replica of my dad's car. Included is a pic of the 'vette at a track day.
  7. Used Revell's 1969 Chevy Chevelle 1/25 kit. Started with the bright blue (shiny) 60s color in mind, but after a bad paint job using Rustoleum's Spa Blue, decided to go for the look of an old, partially restored car. I lost the 4th headlight somehow, so now it is 'gone'. All of the rust was scrubbed on using a Tamiya weathering kit. There were some pains gluing the front bumper onto the body, but besides my amateurish problems, it went together really well, and hey, for my fourth model kit, it really turned into a beauty (depending on who you ask). Built box stock using all of the zillion parts and a billion decals
