MCM Ohana

MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. Overseas built Anglias and Thames Panel Vans are two of my favorite vintage Gasser bodies, as well as that of the Fiat Topolino.
  2. At the beginning of my career I worked at a Montgomery Ward Auto Center here in Southern California. ALL of the department parts inventory was structured and controlled by the corporate bosses in the Chicago headquarters. We were forced to carry a full line of exhaust system parts, headpipes, mufflers and tail pipes. We were always in trouble, as were all of the southwestern states stores, because we never sold enough of these the meet their quota. They never seemed to be able to figure out that where it doesn't snow exhaust systems tend to last pretty much forever...
  3. Rear wheel drive cars with powerful V8 engines in the front have always been, to me, the most fun to drive and use to burn up the road.
  4. Then there's shipping via UPS, FedEx and USPS
  5. Curb feelers, or "curb ticklers" were once a very popular aftermarket accessory that clamped onto the the lower right side front and rear of the rocker panel of passenger cars.
  6. Heard words in my head right now are "Jello Salads used to have a large assortment of variations, but are now no longer popular."
  7. It is a well known fact for those of us that have made it in life passed middle age that tomorrow is not guaranteed and the end can come at any given moment, so we plan for tomorrow and live for today.
  8. That plan sounds like a winner and I wish you the best of a happy, healthy, prosperous future.
  9. Interesting article from Reverb: Who REALLY Invented the Electric Guitar https://reverb.com/news/who-really-invented-the-electric-guitar
  10. Story time can get really preposterous around fire pits or campfires when too much alcohol makes its contributions.
