That car builder maxed out his engines [at least on the hood 'call-out']. The rule in those days was 430 c.i. MAX. Ford & Mercury had 429's and perhaps the psychological game of matching that call-out was important. :wink:

I'd like to get a few together for something like this, but there's little endurance/road racing interest here near the Motor City. 7-8 second quarter mile times are not conducive to build sessions :roll:

John..., all I have is the Fred Cady Gold scallop sheet. Ken,..... no flakes! Right out of the can!

Obviously it still needs BMF etc....., but wondering if you think a few tastefully added scallops would be OK or too much? Interior is gold/champagne Body is Testors Auto Lacquer Artesian Turquoise Metallic. W-170C wheels from ModelHaus. Tires are Firestones painted by Irv Arter Jr.
