AMT '55 chevy cameo
athlon replied to athlon's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thanks David, yes it came with the kit -
This is another in AMT's coke series, this was a pretty detailed kit and went together pretty good, I like the way the bench seat tilts forward to see the fuel tank, nice touch.

AMT '72 chevy pickup
athlon replied to athlon's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Lol, I agree except mine didn't have the broken steering wheel -
I bought this kit and was disappointed to see that it's basically a curbside kit with an engine, there are no lenses for the front or rear lights, even the interior has the seats molded in but I have to say that after painting and detailing this kit displays very nicely.

Very cool, impressive detail work -
Thanks Hector, I couldn't agree more

Nice build, as detailed as it is, it makes you wonder why they would have not included a rear view mirror, not sure if the SLP version had fog lights
-
Very cool and clean build

Very nice, I like the way you kept the front suspension stock looking, very nice work getting rid of the molded in exhaust

Thanks John, great idea using the chassis on the suburban -
Thanks Robert, I have to agree, this kit surprised me at what a good looking gassed it turned out to be
-
Thanks Roger, I thought it would be pretty simple to grind it off but it left a big hole in the floor that had to be filled, I still have to do some touching up on it

I don't think hotweels ever did one, although they did the chi town hustler, same car, johnny lightning did a gene snow funny car
-
This Lindberg kit was pretty cool, I always knew of the Firehawk SLP, but was not aware of the Camaro version until I did this kit.

Done this one a few years back, a little more difficult than it looks, pretty cool kit, I believe it was polar lights.
-
This was probably only the 2nd or 3rd funny car I've ever done in my life, it looks very cool on display
-
That is one of the coolest builds I've seen in a long time, would love to see that reissued, great work
