  1. Very nice, and very clean build. Drag racing is amazing and top fuel dragsters are unbelievable.
  2. So after taking the summer off to enjoy the weather, this is my first build of the winter. I picked this up from hobbylinc a couple months ago. I remember building this as a kid in the 70's, so it brought back alot of memories. I really liked this kit, only 2 things I changed was the red tubing and I reversed the spike on the tail, I just couldn't imagine having a sharp spike above my head on a hardtail and I think it looks better.
  3. Thanks Bill, I think its a great kit to build
  4. Thanks Stuart. I have to agree about the wheels, I had them lying around for years and never thought I would use them but for some strange reason I thought they went good on this kit. Thats a very nice build you have there as well, that 2 tone looks great as well as those white walls.
  5. Thats great work on a great kit, very impressive!
  6. Thats something I'll have try, it does give it a great weathered look
  7. I have to agree its not what I expected either but yea it turned out pretty cool, I really like this kit, the next one will be the military version though.
  8. Thanks David. I like the detail on your build especially the windshield wipers wipes on the windshield.
  9. I picked this up last month at ollies, I had never seen this kit before. When I first started this kit it was going to be the basic military version, then I seen the "surrey" version on the box and started looking versions up, when I started doing this version I had no idea what direction I was going with it, then found the set of rims I had for a very long time and never had nothing to put them on and thought they would look good on this version of the kit, and the dual carb option was nice but had to add velocity stacks to them and make a hole in the hood, and the body filler from the front bumper to the grill was added too. I have to say this kit has alot of detail to it, and the military version has alot of detailed parts, guns, fuel can, gurney, and the cutout Godzilla backdrop is pretty cool too. I was pretty impressed with this kit, glad I picked up 2 of them.
  10. Thanks guys, I was surprised by the detail in this kit, I would definately recommend putting one of these together if you get the chance.
  11. Thanks Andy. That's why I post my builds is to give idea's to other modelers, one of the first things I do when starting a kit is to search for ideas from others modelers and this is a great forum.
  12. Thanks Jeff. I'm glad I got one of them and was surprised at the detail. Just be prepared to straighten the frame out.
  13. Thanks David, it's a cool little kit with alot of different build options out of the box, except for the one set of tires provided, but they look great with the flares.
  14. Here's one I finished before the holiday's. It's not the best work but I really liked this kit, very detailed and went together nicely except for the warped frame. You only get one set of tires in this kit, if you are doing a street machine version like I did they look great, I wish I had more of them. I like the added seats in the bed, the sunroof and the turbo option for the engine. The full size chevy really makes it look small.
  15. Great build! The Testarossa in your pic has always been one of my all time favorite cars
  16. It's been awhile since I posted here, holidays slow everything down. I just finished this one, I done AMT'S Batmobile a few years back, it didnt have the batman figure, computers or engine, this one I picked up at Ollie's over the holidays, even though the chassis is a one piece mold the interior and body detail is great. The extra details make this a great display piece.
