  1. Mike, Your display area is unreal bro..You definitely have been building the covers a while..There's got to be 200 or more models that you have built..Congratulations my friend.
  2. Sir, I have 2 of these kits..I recently purchase an Atlantis qkit..You did an excellent job on your build..Really nice build on a HOF car and driver..Job well done.
  3. Mike, really nice couple of builds here..I haven't done any of these AWB cars yet, but xou might make me change my mind and build a couple..Btw, where did you get all of these magazine covers to build your collection? Again great job on them both.
  4. Zippi, Thank you sir for the kind words..I love your YouTube channel and I'm a subscriber..I love and comment on the builds you present on your channel..That black 53 Bel Air restomod is F-ing phenomenal my friend!!!
  5. DanL...Thank you for the kind words..It took me at least 3 months to get them somewhat presentable..
  6. Mike 1017...I will put that in the memory bank for when build the Sox & Martin 68 Barracuda..Thanks for the tip
  7. Mike, those stripes almost made me just give up until I gave it 1 more shot..Give it another shot my friend. I agree with you I wish Slixx would add the Road Runner decals to the Duster, Cuda sheet
  8. Hello forum I started out trying to find a 69 Road Runner, but was out of luck..I bought the 69 GTX Pro Street kit instead..Before anyone blows a gasket about Sox & Martin didn't run a 69 GTX.. They did use the 69 GTX(A Super Stock car) as part of their Plymouth Supercar clinic program. The program toured the country showcasing the teams race cars, promoting performance and the latest performance vehicles from Plymouth..Though the GTX was used for display purposes it also was used for some racing.. This car gave me hell painting the stripes..I painted the body stripes 3 times & the hood 4 times..I used an old set of decals from the 67 GTX..The top half on the engine is from the Hemi Dart..Aftermarket/hood scoop wheels from Iceman's Collections..Paint was Testers Dark Blue, Tamiya TS-26 Pure White and PS-34 Bright Red..This is MY VERSION of a Sox & Martin Super Stock 69 GTX. To me, this what modeling is all about. Take what is in your head and transfer it to a model..After all the hell it sent me through, I like it. Enjoy and comment
  9. Mikey, I have looked and tried to get this Kandy Brandywine from so many places and always come up short...So when I was building my WJ Vega, I searched on Ebay and found the guys I posted earlier..I know it's expensive, but I figured I could at least 2 1/2 models out of it..So it was worth it and it's real automatic paint.
  10. I know...It's MY VERSION..It's what I want to call it that because IT'S MY 69 GTX BUILD..
  11. I'm building a 69 Sox & Martin Super Stock GTX..There are no pics that I can find of the engine so I'm going with a hemi with the side by side carb setup..I haven't found alot of pictures that represent this car.
  12. If you look on the back of the Slixx decals it calls for a Candy Brandywine..It's the same color of his Vega..Yeah, I built that and the white 99 Firebird..I purchase a can from Ebay from staplesautopart cost $58.83 39.95 +shipping 14.40 Hahn Automotive Warehouse Inc. 1907 Boulevard, Colonial Heights Virginia 23834-2307
  13. Bro, you did WJ proud with this one..I'm a big WJ fan also..The detail and finish are on point..The stance is right on..I've built quite a few WJ cars to include both white cars(the plain white before he got GM Performance sponsorship) the AC Delco car, Blue GM Performance Olds and Firebird, both black Superman cars and Kurts 1st in the 6s car..I now have his black 83 Cutlass and 71 Camaro on the bench right now..Again WJ would be proud, but his quote would be "The car was a tool that I used to accomplish the goal that I set out!!!" If you're going to do anymore WJ builds get his book Drag Racing's Warren THE PROFESSOR Johnson.
  14. Thanks sir...I took the dimension from the Butch Leal Duster I built on the forum..Plus I still have the decal sheet with picture of his car.
  15. Thank you Mike..Becky sent me email confirming what you said. The seller was staplesautoparts on Ebay Hahn Automotive Warehouse Inc.. 1907 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834-2307 Cost was $58.83..$39.95 for the paint $14.40 for shipping and $4.48 shipping I have 3 Grumpy toy kits..I really want the hood scoop that Butch Leal ran on his 71 Pro Stock Duster..Warren just used the lump at the beginning of 71 because he was running without a scoop and NHRA made him put one on..He made one of out cardboard at the track until he fabbed the lump..If u have a Leal scoop that would be outstanding..If not, I just might make my own.
