Just a few more bits to install....

It took several days of light coats to get the spots covered. It was very rainy and humid, so I could do 1 or 2 light coats an evening. 2k clear next.

I've got the same kit in :someday" jail. Yours is looking great.

Moving along ever so slowly.... While I'm waiting for paint to flash between coats in 110% humidity, I'm trying to finish this one up.

OUTSTANDING

I wet sanded the heavy spots earlier. I'm in the process of painting the bare primer spots to put the color back. Then I'll try to blend it all together so it looks like it was painted all at once. The thing I love about Createx paints is the fact you can pour the mixed/unused paint back into its container(as long as you use their products and follow their instructions) . This keeps waste to a minimum.

We each have our own opinions. I like the custom grille, except for the 2 lights in the center. I would rather it have tubes all the way across. That's what makes this hobby so great, we all have ideas in our heads, someone else may not think of it unless we share them.

Patience. That of which I lack severely. There will be some wet sanding and repainting in the future. I think the color will look good though.

Color has been chosen ✨️ Createx Metallic Burnt Orange. I have a couple spots that require attention, but I hope to colorize this girl tomorrow.

I worked at a Phillips 66 service station in the mid '80s. The owner bought this '63 in 1965. 327, 4 speed SS with a tach and tilt wheel. It has diamond stitched interior and seemed like an ocean liner to my 15 year old mind when I drove it. Love these cars.

I think it's called Adult Model Building Attention Deficit Disorder. At last count I have 49 kits ranging from wheel/tire/color choice all the way up to "Oh, this one is almost done"

BEAUTIFUL ?

Not real sure about the cockpit dressings. Not really digging the factory skinz. I want it to be a 2 seater though. Maybe a set of bomber seats? Maybe some scratched "aluminum" door panels ?. I believe a roll cage would have to be installed to complete the race theme. Until then, I'll keep sanding and adding putty to smooth the body for paint. It does sit nice though ?
