'64 Chevy II Nova - Moebius/Resto Mod

Looks good. I uae the Molotow refill and a small brush to paint details. It cleans with rubbing alcohol instead of paint thinner. -

Don't be so hard on yourself. This is a hobby. Have FUN! Look at it as an exercise. Take what you've learned from this kit and apply it to the next one. -

'64 Chevy II Nova - Moebius/Resto Mod

The Nova had 14" wheels from the factory. The 17" wheels will require alot of work to fit the small wheel wells. I've used a few sets of Jay's wheels, and have more in stock. -

Using aftermarket wheels takes some creativity. You can glue(use CA glues only) styrene tube or rod to the center of the wheels to adapt to the spindles of the the car. Looks like you bought the wheels off Ebay, and they look to be the 20/21 scale inch versions of the Cragars. Tamiya has a rubber black paint, or you can use a semi-gloss black paint. A tip that I've neglected more times than I like to admit: pre fit everything before you paint anything. -
That should look fantastic in the sun.

Let's see some other work benches. I'm about to set up a room for building.

Did you check the jets?

Looking Good!

Very Cool! Make sure you check the jets quite often during your build.

I'm in Western Lincoln County 20 minutes south west of Hickory. Are there good shows to attend? Topher

What do you drive?

I have a '67 Charger that I bought in January of 1990. It's a 383 4 speed car. She's a lot of fun to drive! -
What do(did for the retired folk) you do for a living? I restore electric motors for older cars. My website is www.headlightmotorman.com I've been doing this for 20 years this year, 4 years full time. Every time I sit down at the model bench I'm constantly thinking about what needs to be done at the motor bench ?.

I love the '64 Goats. You nailed the stance perfectly! May I ask what printer and materials you're using? Is there a cure time?

It's a Flintstone. No worries about a dehydrator here, I do my paint the old fashioned way, I wait, and wait, and wait....??????
