  1. Steve, everytime i stop by to check out this build im just amazed. I gotta ask though.. where did you get your wheels and tires? I am really digging them! it just looks spot for this build. And finding the right wheels and tires can make or break the build and the level you want make it. I'd love to find a set like that for the next build I'm going to start.
  2. Ron, I literally spit my coffee out when I read "It’ll also get a big-ol’ headache rack, light bar and a bull bar, naturally. Hopefully it will turn out like I plan it… as long as I keep throwing money at it!".... SOOO what you're saying is this build is just like actual owner operator business... just keep throwing money at er and hope for the best! 😂
  3. This thing is just plain old cool.. great job!
  4. Thanks guys. I'm trying to decide what to do next.. build a display case for it or just put it in my office as is... I'd hate it for it to get super dusty tho setting there.
  5. No doubt they were kidney bruisers. But the detail on that suspension you chose is incredible. It will really add to the build!
  6. Absolutely! I'm glad to see you working on it. If it's anything like when I'm building it's a therapy session haha!
  7. This looks awesome! She's gonna be a tough old bird!!
  8. Good lookin heavy haul! This thing is coming right along and your stocks look great! It'll be a real beast when you finish!
  9. Jim i agree with you on the 48 stretch. It looks perfect! Not too long but just long enough. That mercury looks right at home on the truck too. Looking forward to seeing more progress. Good work man!
  10. This project is moved over to the under glass section.
  11. The black W900A that IMT Transport has used to be my friend Rob Spencer from Watsontown. I built a tribute truck to that. It was a ROG W900 kit. Stretched the frame to 280" scratchbuilt outlaw steps, added longer full tanks, used 1/24 scale wheels from Black Sheep Customs, this gives the illusion of 24.5 wheels. Italeri michelins for the sneakers. Scratchbuilt visor, modified kit grille to make custom grille, make the chrome skirts under the cab and sleeper. Low hogebilt quarters from MTB. Scratchbuilt front bumper and stacks. Molotow chrome paint and chrome vinyl for the bumper and visor. Custom made logo for the door. I put Rob's because in my head it will always be his. Haha. Here's some pics. I wanna build a diorama for better pics at some point.. inspiration pic is on here too.
  12. Well after 2 weeks (not the vendors fault it was usps) the wheels showed up. Italeri Michelins fit pretty good. Got some more progress on it done. Exhaust plumbing done, quarter fenders on.. bumper mounted and it's shaping up fair. Should have it finished up this weekend. Thanks for looking.
  13. Michael from start til now this looks it was a lot of effort to build. It pays off man. It looks terrific! I like that old school trucking vibe. very retro
  14. Looking good Jurgen! its impressive how you're doing this. Keep up the great work!
  15. This truck is coming out to be pretty amazing! Some true craftsmanship for sure! and seeing these kind of builds makes me want to try harder on mine..
  16. Steve, so that it take number 3 for the front bumper. First time I tried to molotow chrome it.. didn't look right its too large and too flat and looked splotchy. Built a second and I tried to use chrome foil vinyl... and it just didn't look natural bent that one removing the vinyl so Built a third and used aluminum hvac tape and covered it... and it looks natural yet "chromey". Best part is you can actually polish it lightly and gently to give it more shine. Exhaust pipes are liquid chrome... the tape would have gave an unsightly seam. And i got lucky they came out decent. But I need to invest in an air brush system. I think I could airbrush the molotow chrome it wouldn't be splotchy... application determines end results right? Thanks for checking it out!
  17. Put some lenses on it and got the fuel tanks mounted. Scratchbilt front bumper with the lil lights on the corners for class 😉 and I started working on the exhaust. Just some small updates. Still waiting on the wheels tho... snail mail 😑.
  18. That a boy Gary! Truck looks great! Hope things are getting better, health troubles are the worst. Take care.
  19. Small progress. Scratchbuilt visor on... did the solid row of chicken lights across the roof and put the scratch built trim under the cab and sleeper. Just a snap of the mock up. Waiting on the wheels to show up so I can figure if I need to change anything before final assembly.. blacksheepcustoms makes some decent 3d printed 10 holes... sometimes it takes alittle to deliver tho.
  20. I have a semi built kenworth revell of Germany junkyard i picked up off Ebay that does still have some parts on the trees... if the chambers are still in the kit I can help ya out. It will be delivered Saturday. I can let you know
  21. Is that the one they call The Judge? There was a video I had saw of one of Jeremy's trucks and it had this wicked Cummins "Lope Tune". I was curious if it had the KTA600 in er.
  22. I'm just hoping they bring back that b75 mack they used to make. I need one for an upcoming build.
  23. I did and as you can see, I have a small spot to correct on passenger side. I will need to touch the satin black up and get rid of that splotch. I did the sleeper hinges and vents as well. I really like the molotow liquid chrome. it's a bit pricey 14 bucks a marker... but to make it even better Hobby Lobby has a generic brand liquid chrome marker and its only 3.99 and works equal to the Molotow. I highly recommend if you have a local hobby lobby to stop and grab one. Jim, that was one of the better Rolling CB interviews. This truck Justin Lang had originally, then he sold it to Robbie Spencer out of Watsontown, his family have some pretty incredible A Models. 3 Bar C actually runs one of Spencer's older A models as well. Black with Maroon and White. Anyways. Robbie had the truck quite a while hauling potatoes and he ran with Dad and I quite a bit. When he sold it to Jeremy Gouge at IMT and I was surprised and a little sad, but only because I wished it was me buying it haha! I've been sending pics of the build to Robbie as well. He currently builds trucks for customers at the old homestead. Good people. That trailer is a potato puller I built it looks similar to one we pulled... we had it for 3 weeks and a car ran under it while loaded and ripped the tandems out and totaled the trailer. it lightweighed 10,500lbs... perfect for bulk potatoes. what a shame.
  24. Just a progress update... it was setting on all wheels... but I felt the 22.5 were small and since the subject truck has 24.5... im currently waiting for 1/24 22.5 wheels... not sure but they might make up just enough difference to look right. Working on a scratch built visor.. and working out some small details. It's all about having fun and the hour or so I get to set down and build is like therapy lately. Thanks everyone for the kind words. Hopefully this build does the truck a good tribute.
