  1. Hey, I think one of those sets of Draglites might be mine. Ordered them last week...LOL. Hey,BTW...Is the machined finish on the Draglites smooth enough to polish? Frank
  2. Tyrone, Nice to see you on this board. I'm used to watching your work over there on the other one...LOL. Did the pictures of Tamez's Camaro help you out any? Frank
  3. I've got the DVD set of Movin On, which has every episode they did. I've used it for referance. The real truck you have pictures IS NOT the TV truck... It's one someone built as a copy. I found many of those inaccurate pictures when I first starting doing research, too. I believe that one is owned by a man who also has a BJ and the Bear truck. His BJ truck is a TV original, though. The TV trucks frame wasn't stretched that extremely. As already mentioned, the TV truck never had a headache rack. It did have the Cummins engine. I'm building the Revell W-900 for my replica. It also has the incorrect Cat, and the frame is a little short. These are the REAL TV trucks Frank
  4. Resin cowl hood for $5.99 or best offer on "evil bay"... My link If you scroll down in the listing, they have an outlaw hood.
  5. Dencon has a cowl hood for $5....My link
  6. Competition resins has a Powerglide for $4.50. The C-4 has a square pan. The PG pan has a notch at the rear. I guess it's all in how exact you want to get. Here's the link for Comp Resins PG...My link Frank
  7. There are several resin suppliers that make cowl hoods for the AMT '70 Camaro. You might look for the Revell big block '69 Camaro, Max Rat Chevelle or the old AMT Street Machine '68 El Camino for the engine. What transmission is in his car? Replicas and Miniatures Company of Maryland makes a great TH 400 with a seperate pan. there are many companies making the Weld Wheels in resin...Or you can find them in the Reher Morrison/STP Pontiac/Frank Iaconio Monogram Pro Stocks. Do you have any engine pictures of the car? RaMCoM also has a very nice single plane big block intake manifold. Pro Tech has the nicest resin "Demon" carb. Let me know if I can help in any way. Shoot me a PM, if you need to. Frank
  8. Don, Incase you want a good pic for advertising Frank
  9. JB Hobbies web site. http://jbhobbies.freewebspace.com/index.html
  10. Very nice build and a good color choice. Frank
  11. When Jonny was making my Sonnys aluminum valve covers for me, I suggested an idea of making the MSD coil in resin. this coil is the one I've found on most pictures of the Sonnys Chevy hemi I'm building. This would be a great addition to a Pro Street, pro Mod, or Pro Stock. Frank
  12. Cool... A tale of 2 second gens. What's his run what motor is in it? Frank
  13. Very nice work! Hey, I could use a set of those 315's in 1/12 scale...LOL Frank
  14. Yup. we've got one of those, too
  15. Don, I hope the next year is better. I just wanted to show others what you are offering. This is my RR "2006" Pro Mod Camaro. It took amazingly little to get it ready for paint. Thanks again. Frank
  16. LOL...Thank you. I've got 2 good referances. Our '70 Camaro and '93 Camaro both have Pro Sticks in them. These are pics from the install in my '93 Z. I made the seperate box for my nitrous switches that I attatched to the housing. Frank
  17. Looks good. Maybe someone from GM is watching...LOL I can't figure out why Chevrolet isn't doing something like this. They already have a transmission/transaxle that would work. Remember, the Vette has the transmission between the rear wheels already...Change the bellhousing and you can bolt the engine right to it. Anyway, back to your model. I love the layout, lines, and shape. If Chevy builds one, they should copy your design. Frank
  18. I built this one many many years ago. I "laminted" plastic sheet and shaped it. I sourced the actual stick and knob from something else, but the housing was scratch built to look like a "Pro Stick". Frank
  19. Nice build. Did you clear coat over the Tamiya silver? Did you alter the ride heigth? Frank
  20. Thanks! I'll add them to my other referance pictures. You got some great detail shoys. I actually have a few pictures of some valve covers that don't have the "scallops" at the top. The bolts go through the cover, instead of the rail, I had Jonny make mine to mimic that style. Frank
  21. Um...Folks...Jonnmy charged me $15 to make them.
  22. A while back, I psted in an attempt to find someone to do some custom machining for me. I just wasn't happy with the valve covers that came with the Ross Gibson "Sonny's Chevy hemi" kit. I was directed to Jonny Taylor at JB Hobbies. I explained what I wanted, sent him a kit head and valve cover, and he even called to get a perfect idea of what I wanted. He then machined these out of aluminum. If anyone is looking for custom machine work, you might want to look Jonny up. I'm very particular about what I want on this build and Jonny hit the nail on the head. jb_hobbies2009@yahoo.com BTW, I kinow the "Sonny's" decals are too big. I'm doing the decals myself. That wasn't Jonnys fault. I'm making a smaller set. These are actually copies of the one's that come in the RG kit. Frank

  24. I got the valve covers in from JB Hobbies today. Jonny custom machined them out of aluminum. This is with just a quick polish. They'll look better with a good polish and the "Sonny's" decals. Frank
  25. I've got my BJ and the Bear and Movin On AMT kits listed on ebay this week. Neither has been started and both are complete with instructions and decals. These kits keep going up in value. A BJ truck went for $150 last week. I built a Revell kit for the Movin On truck because I know how much the actual AMT kit is worth...LOL http://cgi.ebay.com/...E:L:LCA:US:1123 http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item3f05c24323 Frank
