  1. I buy mine from here. I get 6 OZ. spray cans for quick paint needs, like chassis, etc. You can also get premixed airbrush paint on this site. http://shop.blackgoldweb.com/
  2. Thanks, Charlie. I'm trying to gather all the best of everything for this project. Yes, I am using many of your products...Simply because of that fact...They're the best I can find. BTW, this build will also use your fuel junction block, and braided hose. I've always wiondered why nobody makes a linkage kit for the 2 carburetor set up??? I see SO MANY linkages that are set up wrong on models, or most just lack that detail at all. Frank
  3. Yes, I tried doing them both angled and square. In the end, I think they just looked better square. The biggest problem with the Spaz Stix is, it's not very durable. It does rub off a little easy. Frank
  4. Yes, I've had stuff done by chrome tech in the past with great results. I've never had anything resin done, though. Most in this forum seem to agree that they do good with it too. Frank
  5. Nope... These are mock-up carbs only. They're Spaz Stix painted. The valve cover in the pictures aren't the final one's, either. I'm having a more accurate set machined out of aluminum for it.
  6. That is just plain cool. Great job! Frank
  7. Very heavily modified RG intake manifold The top and carb plate are scratch built. I used a piece of tan carboard between the top and carb plate to simulate the wooden insulator I've seen on most Sonny's engines. I'm working on the linkage arms now. I got my order of hose fittings and rod ends from RB Motion today. Frank
  8. The grilles definitely look better when they are hollowed out. Here's mine from my Revell '69RS. I used the MCG detail set for the hideaway headlights. Frank
  9. No...1:25 Warren Johnson Olds Pro Stock Cutlass. I'll try to get some other pictures. Sorry...The body is mounted permanently. Frank
  10. I used the 1:25 Revell Warren Johnson Olds for my Pro Street '69 Camaro. I had to scratch build the floor and mofify the cage. I used to main chassis, but made it flat, where the original sloped up at the front edges. The front and rear suspension are from the Olds kit. Frank
  11. Another thumbs up for Terry and MAS. i just ordered a set of wheels from him a few weeks ago. The wheels arrived in a matter of days after payment was made. Terry, you have great customer service and great products. these are your "Warrior" wheels on the mock up of my 2010 Pro Street Camaro. Frank
  12. More thought than actual plastic work here...LOL The linkage is done but not in these pictures yet. I think I'm going to redo the manifold top plate. The carb pads look too big. Paint is tamiya gloss aluminum. The resin Pro Tech Demons are painted with Spaz Stix here. I've got the actual set going to Chrome Tech to be plated. An actual BG Demon carb. I didn't want to go with the typical Holley gold color. Frank
  13. Very nice build. I kinda like the Revell '69 in red. Here's 2 versions I built. One as a Pro Street, one as a Super Street. Frank
  14. ...Must have been extremely violent. Even the cage is destroyed. they're not supposed to fold up and come apart at the welds like that. Frank
  15. I wanted to share this tip with everyone. I wanted to make a realistic looking linkage for this model. I bought every photoetched linkage kit out there. The problem with photoetch is, it's too thin to look realistic. While ordering some other stuff from Pro Tech, I ran across something in their railroad section. They're scale "Eye Bolts". They make a great looking 1/25 rod end for linkage detail.
  16. Started back to the intake and carburetors. The RGE kit runners are too long and have plates at the top. If you check pictures of the Sonny's Hemi, you'll notice the runners are short. The RGE plenum needs some modifications, too. Most of that was done with sanding sticks. The top plate and carb plates were scratch built. The RGE kit uses split Dominators, but I wanted a more street friendly set of Pro Tech Resin Demons. I wasn't sure if I was going to do square mount or canted mount. I eventually decided on square mount. Remember, nothing in these photos is glued yet, so you'll notice some ill fitting stuff. These are just mock up pictures to check fit and to get the heigth correct. They will have CORRECT appearing linkage, and plumbing comprised of ProTech braided hose and RB Motion hose ends with a Pro Tech resin junction block runners too long carb plate with mounting pads with resin Pro Tech Demons You can see how short the runners are here...
  17. I made a wooden "buck" for the transmission hump, and used a piece of round rod to form the driveshaft section. It took quite a few attempts to get it right. Frank
  18. Very nice!... The paint looks awesome. Frank
  19. Thanks, John. It usually takes me a while to get the stuff done because I try to get them as close to perfect as my abilities allow. i've got a folder full of referance material for the engine stuff...LOL I'm definitely my worst critic, though... You can check out some of my other work on my webshots page, if you'd like. http://rides.webshots.com/album/560840801DvDYOc?start=0
  20. Sent him an e-mail. Haven't got a reponse yet. I've got quite a bit of MAS stuff, and I've used alot in the past. Their parts are some of the best. I'd like to see them get back to where they once were. As a matter of fact, I just ordered some of their stuff from Scale Dreams. Frank
  21. Completely scratch built Moroso oil pan. MAS wheel set with "warrior" centers
  22. They're Machined Aluminum Specialties. I'm trying to locate a set of centers because one of these gor ruined. MAS stopped taking online orders in 2003
