  1. very nice shine on this build, love the 59 impala too.
  2. that two tone looks immaculate, love this build!!
  3. awesome looking hotrod, the detail is amazing on it!
  4. paint looks amazing! the lowered front end fits well on it.
  5. saw it on the box when I was doing a street rod 55 and just had to go back and get another to do this two tone, it just works so well on the 55.
  6. Thank you! and yes, I will reach out in the forum next time, I just needed a quick fix when doing the interior and had a good donor kit on the bench too.
  7. dont really know what I am going for here, this was my first car build after I got tired of doing pickups. It was originally a tamiya coral blue and the engine bay was still unpainted, few nights ago I sprayed it a matte black with some spare "bumper spray paint". Then I took a bunch of decal sheets I never used and slapped whatever I thought looked 'racer-esque'. I'm new to the automotive hobby as a whole and don't know too much about drag racers and vintage gassers, so take this with a grain of salt! I also took out the stock motor that it came with, horribly painted with acrylic and had awful brush strokes on it. going to re do that engine entirely with new chrome valve covers, manifold, and carbs. for the time being I shoved a SBC into it from my spare parts drawer, and repainted the engine bay. Now I gotta re do the interior and put new seats and dashboard into it.

  8. finished this up after long nights of playing 'styrene surgeon'. This one took a few weeks and didn't come out necessarily the best, but its still an improvement from earlier builds. Im learning this hobby as I go and its very satisfying seeing my work improve over time and practice. Painted this in light gloss yellow testors bottle and a chrome pen. The front suspension gave me a bit of trouble and the rear axle rod they gave me was a bit too thick for the wheel to fit on, so I had to do some drilling into that. The rear glass got fogged up by super glue sadly. for whatever reason my kit was missing a dashboard?? stole a dashboard from my 49 mercury gluebomb that I have been trying to save.
  9. Anyone else have problems fitting the engine onto this kit? it really doesn't stay in place to glue and has problems with the firewall once putting the body onto the chassis.
  10. hope they re release this kit soon! it's a very nice car that NEEDS to get made available for an average price again. Happy building!!
  11. love the grill on that car! your detail on that engine is immaculate!!
  12. looks amazing!!
