  1. congrats I'm glad you are doing well in school .
  2. Thank you .This one is one of my favorites.I also enjoy a custom van .Tim Boyd posted one a long time ago that wasn't finished but was pretty sweet he did some nice wheel flares which is something that I wish I had done with the rear wheel openings.
  3. Thanks! luckily I move at a glacial pace so it should be easy to keep updated.
  4. I have tons of builds. these are all the same kit . I Like that one too,it is what I had envisioned when I bought my first one . the grille is from an aurora grille pak.

    39 chevy

Thank you for the kind words , i am pretty happy with how the body work came out almost seems like I know what I am doing.
  6. Thank you very much.
  7. The front wheel wells would look nicer moved up but I reckon they are going to stay where they are.The hood will be left off I am thinking the engine out of the lil coffin kit.
  8. I started with one of these but ended up with three or four . watch out for the windshield area and the doors especially the area directly behind the door. I had thought I had a good plan when I started but this thing really took me to the wood shed. Thanks
  9. A major pita.
  10. It started out as just a seventies custom van ,funky paint, posh interior but then I got an idea gull wings would look cool then the side doors had to be gullwinged (after I added the other door) I have a pretty god idea as to where it's going but there are a few techniques that need to be honed first.
  11. I have been working on this one for a long long time.all windows have ben reshaped, hood modified ,I am working on a tube chassis .It is s'posed to be a road racer but it may turn into a drag car as that seems to look a little better.
  12. 39 chevy sectioned shortened channelled will have either the engine from the predicta kit or the slingshot dragster engine. not too detailed just something vintage looking.emphasis being placed squarely on the body mods.
  13. AMT dirt hauler AMT's first truck kit very basic. This is going to be box stock just waiting for decals and some more detail painting. North american van lines moving truck Amts second truck kit. Again this will be box stock. This is the same truck with a custom grille and some GMP wheels it won't be detailed pretty much a slammer. again same truck being built as a three car race transporter .A little more detail will go into this one . comments and criticism welcomed. Also any questions feel free.
  14. Love the paint, very nice mild custom.
  15. silly putty doesn't hold it's shape very long so it isn't good for making molds.
  16. I think this is pretty cool and I look forward to the one you are going to put in more effort.
  17. How exciting, glad that everything will be ok.6 weeks isn't much time to get everything together.hope Mom is doing ok also .
  18. Looks pretty good. how did you raise it up for the wheels?
  19. Thank you a very informative article and totally cool that Mr. Teresi's work is included .
  20. I tried to make some out of plastic ,metal and modified kit parts . I had no luck and never felt like I made any headway so I haven't any idea how to make them but I know how not to make them .sorry this isn't very helpful I just thought you should know it has been tried .
  21. great kitbashing you brought it all together quite seamlessly. I like it.
  22. just to clarify using regular plastic painted gloss black may just be more accessible and easier to glue.
  23. if your doing a slammer with no interior detail you can use regular sheet styrene and gloss black on the outside. or if you want the clear plastic flat black on the inside will work just fine.
  24. I am going to try and participate by building a monogram cobra pikes peak climber .and maybe something else on the bonneville side if the mood strikes me.
