  3. thank you. Is it the custom or stock wheel cover?leave it to me to find a part I want to use in one of those really hard(read expensive) to find kits.
  4. Does anyone know where these wheel covers came from and the other piece what is it and where did it come from.
  5. I always love your models !
  6. try the ship section in your local hobby store. or the jewelry aisle at your local craft store .or just a cheap jewelry section at a drug store
  7. one way would be to use paint that has been thinned down alot get some on a brush and carefully apply at a corner let cappilary action do the work for you wipe away excess paint right away it will take some practice but a little patience should get good results in no time. there are other methods but this one should be a good starting point. one more thing to consider some recommend using the same color as the body that has been darkened with black.
  8. I haven't seen a nicer looking donk. great paint job . I love the colors .as far as the wheels go, again, great look for a donk . I commend you for finishing a model and posting pictures of it ,which is more than I've done in awhile . I would love to see more .
  9. Art stole my thunder I was going to say the same thing
  10. Ross Gibson makes some fine hemis.pegasus makes some nice rims .without knowing what you want specifically it's hard to tell you where to look .I'm sure however that some of the folks that are over there across the pond can help you a little more than I could.
  11. I love it. But what is the rear view mirror for?
  12. I like how you extended the rear fenders looks cool!

  18. So sorry for your loss ,hang in there .
  19. drill holes in the frame rails insert small plastic rod and glue together . alternatively you can try cutting a straight cut in the middle of the frame rails and use plastic strips to strengthen (it should look like a plus sign when veiwing from the side)
  20. Looks cool ,and fun. Nice to know a mustang chassis will fit with a little trimming.
  21. I think the truck, which is a phantom body ,scales out a little larger than 1/32 but is not quite 1/25th. however the project I'm working on is sposed to be 1/25th. I found the right sized tires in an italeri kit rims will be the stock rims shoved inside some pegasus sleeves it looks perfect for the project. thanks everyone for the suggestions .I appreciate the help.
  22. let me know when you are ready to go. I think it is a great idea and extremely generous on your part .
  23. reusable coffee filters have fine mesh also
  24. if the pick ups are gonna be in the model truck forum then the model truck forum should be moved up the ladder so it is right beneath the model car forum. I don't really care where everything is I usually find what i am looking for with the view new content button or todays active topics. as far as a catagory that could be added maybe a junior or beginner/returning modeler section could be helpful for answering those questions that get asked frequently like what kind of paint, glue, bodyfiller, tools should I use ,what is a good kit to start with , where can I find ...........,I know there are already areas that cover these questions but apparently they aren't as easy to find the answers as they could be .
  25. if I wasn't trying something difficult I would have hundreds of completed models .
