Thanks Raul. That means a lot to me. I like building a little bit of everything and add the same time and detail to all of my builds. But what stands out the most is what I love building the most (low riders) I think it’s the murals & paint that set them apart from all my other builds. And believe me they both get the same attention to detail and parts. I think to be a great builder you have to build everything. I my self think that is the only way to do it cause you get a little bit of everything, from top fuel or pro street you learn how to build great engines and from low riders you get these crazy paint jobs and from custom cars you learn how to do some outrageous fabrication work and so on. I did not get into this hobby for praise or attention I got into it for the love of the hobby and building plastic models. All that came with the job of being a good builder and helping out other builders when they asked some good questions or some bad one but either way the got my answer. As for Kevin he is a good young man but like all of us when we where young men thought we where King Kong and could take on the world. But in due time we all found out the hard way that our elder’s where right most of the time and are here to help us and teach us the right way and never do anything to mislead us. We all got to get along here and understand that we are all like one big family here. But remember family do have their good time and bad times too and an occasional fights here and there. So in saying that and boring you all with this long letter I shall be going now. Sincerely Mr. Anthony Rios.

Fuddruckers Roll Call Friday Nite
MR BIGGS replied to Ariel's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks Ariel.... So that means I will get the in 5 min the way I drive. -
Well bro let me start off by saying your intentions are good. But that’s the problem we don’t need a place that just singles out low riders. You are just setting your self up for disappointment again. We already have places like general, on the workbench and under glass. You don’t see an other place on here that say hot rods only nor customs only most of them are for all types of vehicles. What you really got to do is just build what you love building and don’t worry about what other people think or don’t think. That’s all irrelevant. Just post up what you got in your own topic if they reply they reply in not just keep on building. I never cared what other people thought or said about my builds if I did I would have given up the hobby years ago. Sincerely Mr. Anthony Rios.

Almost every year lil E and a few other driver's come down to out local hobbie shop after hour's and they open the store just for them. Most of all the driver's who come are big R/C car lover's. Most of them say they love model car's too but never have time to build them. -

-
You are right Mark. That's one thing I frogot to mention crager's. but they did have to have them small 5-20's and lowered
-
I have had that same problem with some of my build's. What I have learned is they don't wan't you in that class cause you are competing with one of their buddy's and they wan't them to win. Now back to the lowrider thing, to me a lowrider is any type of car with hydros-lowered , spoke's and 5-20's cause the paint don't really make the car. I think if it don't have those 3 thing's it should be other. I remember when lowrider magazine would not post nor take any pic's of car's that did not have small tire's and spoke's. now they show everything in their magazine. One of my buddy's had a full show zepher and had it in the custom class and they kept on moving it to the lowrider class so we asked they why are they doing that it's a custom( their answer) IT'S LOWERED. so come to find out he had a good buddy in that call and wanted him to win too.

Once I get a few other project's out of the way I will be building his other 85-86 monte carlo the black one. this one. and this is one that I made a few year's ago for his son lil E.

There is nothing to be ashamed of, and you won't be backing down if you don't do it. I just did it to prove a point that you got to respect your elder's no matter what. You are the next generation of builder and you got to give them the respect they deserve they have all been doing this for manny year's and are intitled to their opinion just like every one else is. You got to build what you like and not what other's like you to build. If they nor anyone don't like your build's who care's it's just a model and we , well at least me i build them to keep me sain and love to build them for me. You are still my lil homie no matter what bro. BUT you know i would of whooped your ass. MUCH LOVE Mr Anthony Rios.

List Your Modeling Heroes...
MR BIGGS replied to a topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That is an easy one to list. I have 3, first is Mike flynn then Jack Davis and last but not least the late Rick Hicks. But if I had to choose 1 out of these 3 great builder's it would have to be my mentor and teacher Mike Flynn who got me to this level of building where I am today, and put me in this spot to be able to help other's. He told me to share all that he has shared with me. And to teach other's and to never turn a fellow modeler away no matter how much they ask as long as they are willing to learn. THESE ARE HIS WORD'S..... Don't talk about what you are going to do. Talk about what you have done. -
I think only a few day's will do. It should be ok to clear it now. I use alot of enamel's on my engine's and other small part's then clear them right after in hr's and never had a problem. Make sure of one thing once you do this is you got to let it breath or gass out like Jeff said. Alot of guy's paint car's and stick them right into a container ant their paint don't look like it did when they put it in. that's due to the gasses and not letting it breath. I am a big laquer FAN and like and die by them. If you go to pepe boy's they cary all the automotive paint's in duplecolor that what you should try and get a hold of. you will never go back.
