  1. You gave him the best answer out there. That is what I do to all my models . Sure it take's more time but that is time well spent. I try and get some of my buddys whom I am helping to start doing that and so far they love it. I can pick up one of my car's from the mirror or antena and it will not break off if i decide to glue them. And it realy works when you have to ship them or pack them for a road trip. I have all the little part's in little containers with all the goodies that belong to that model in them, get to the show and everything go's right back on.
  2. REMEMBER THIS IS THERE MODO... WE SELL IT FOR THE HIGHEST PRICE WE CAN POSSIBLY GET FOR IT, PERIOD. AND THE SAD PART IS OUR GOVERNMENT LET'S THEM DO IT CAUSE THEY ARE PART OF IT. SCAREFACE SAID IT BEST( THIS COUNTY IS LIKE A BIG P@$$^ JUST WAITING TO GET F#^%##. YOU CAN FILL IN THE REST. YOU GUY'S REALY NEED TO SEE THIS. BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN OPENED MIND http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/
  3. Everybody is now talking about rising gasoline prices but to paraphrase Mark Twain, nobody is doing anything about it We want to do something and we need your help. Only the People can show the Big Oil Companys that we are the King and not they; they depend on us the customer and they need to know this! How we do something? Here is what we can do. Already Canadians and Swiss have implemented this strategy and their gas prices have dropped significantly. This is working in those countries now. The first phase of the plan is this: Everyone and I mean everyone stops buying gas from the two largest oil companies; Chevron and Shell - a boycott on the oil companies. This continues until these two companies lower their prices significantly. Then once the prices have been lowered the people resume business with Chevron and Shell. Now, a few things could happen this point....Firstly, Chevron and Shell may either keep the prices low (HA HA HA) or if they go back up then the people resume the boycott. As the world watches, so do the other oil companies. And they see that this too could happen to their companies. The people must take some real action to create the change. We can not rely on our own government to help us; especially when our own president is profiting so highly from these gas prices. Yes, it does take extra effort to find other gas stations. But how much longer are you willing to accept these prices and let these oil companies gauge and pillage our nation. When is it enough for you? I hope that time is now. We are a nation of great pride, compassion, and creativity and this action is not against the essence of true American beliefs but in support of it. The forces that be now that are running the country now are not what America is about or the ideals that it was built on. We must join together to make a change. Send this email as to many of your friends as possible. The greatest force for change is word of mouth.
  4. Several problems with your solution. Refineries sell their oil to distributors who blend 'additive compounds' to the gas to stamp it with specific brand name. The gas that ends up at a Shell station might not even be from a Shell refinery. The refinery makes its profit no matter what distributor they sell to. If all of a sudden people stop buying Shell branded gas, the refinery will still sell their product to a distributor who will brand it and send it whereever. When you dont buy from a certain branded station, you are hurting the small business owner of that station. the oil companies own about 30% of their branded stations. That is a low profit business compared to oil production and refining. They would be happy to get out of that business if all of a sudden their gas stops selling Finally, I work for a BIG OIL company refinery and I own company stock. Let me tell you what our policy is regarding the price we sell our finished gasoline, WE SELL IT FOR THE HIGHEST PRICE WE CAN POSSIBLY GET FOR IT, PERIOD. This is otherwise know as capitalism which has served this country well so far. you want to control the price of gas, vote for politicians who will overturn our constitution and institute socialism in this country. Heck we are half way there already anyway
  5. driving like we do. Too many people have poor driving habits. They seem to only have 2 positions for their foot ---on the accelerator or on the brakes. They wander around aimlessly, don't look far enough ahead of them to see that they are racing to a red light; passing everyone so they can be the 1st in line to race to the next light; fail to use the momentum the've built up for planned stops. The fuel efficiency ratings required by uncle sam are based on driving for optimum fuel effiency. But most drivers don't drive that way, so they probably pay 10-15% more than they need to for fuel and brakepads. And on the margin, that 10-15 % translates to a higher price we all pay at the pump due to the laws of supply and demand. In the meantime I'll just stick to my own proven ways of squeezing miles out of every drop and chuckle at all the idiots I see speeding pass me while I am coasting to the red light a block ahead.
  6. HOw has the people of America elected a President who made his many millions with ownership (hidden) of Zapata oil and a Vice President with ownership (hidden also) Of Halliburtonwho have made billions by raising your gasoline prices. Bill Clinton fought the oil companies on this and the American public was so worried about where he was inserting his penis that they didn't bother to give him the credit he deserved. This little "rich kid" we have as our President should be impeached immediately if not sooner and so should his EVIL Vice President.
  7. Hi everyone, I'm a Sacramento State student and I have been consulting with some of my professors. I've comeup with a hybrid of past ideas which might actually work. I've e-mailed this out to many people and crossing my fingers that it will go nationwide. Perhaps everyone here can help? The message follows: Please read this entire letter to help lower gas prices. If you haven’t already heard, the oil companies reported record profits again last quarter. They earned a record 32.8 billion dollars and recently told US senators not to mess with them. You may be asking yourself why then isn’t our gas cheaper? Couldn’t they have just passed on at least some of the profits to help lower gas prices? Yes they COULD have. Then why do they price gas so high? It’s because THEY CAN. Well it’s time to fight back and there’s something we can do! Several years ago there was an idea to boycott gas stations for one day to raise fuel supplies and lower gas prices. It was a good idea but there were flaws. A one day drop in sales won’t really affect supply and profit. We’re not asking for you to boycott gas for longer periods. Besides, who can really go without it for too long? Instead, please plan for a national boycott of one station at a time. Let’s say we boycott Exxon/Mobil for a month. Here’s what will happen—their supply will skyrocket. With high supply and low business—they’ll be forced to significantly lower their prices. If they do that—the other oil companies will be forced to follow because of competition. After a month, we switch and boycott another oil company—say Chevron/Texaco. And so on and so forth. If we keep this up, the oil companies will get the message and know we the people mean business—fair business. So here’s the list we came up with…it calls for the monthly boycott of the big 4. Do NOT buy gasoline from these companies during the listed months. December—Exxon/MobilJanuary—Chevron/TexacoFebruary—ShellMarch—BP Stations (Arco, etc.)April—Exon/MobilMay—Chevron/TexacoJune—ShellJuly—BP Stations (Arco, etc.)August—Exxon/MobilSeptember—Chevron/TexacoOctober—ShellNovember—BP Stations (Arco, etc.)December—Exxon/Mobil Please repost this message—print it and pass it out—cut and paste it to your e-mail lists—tell all your friends and put it on all e-bulletin boards you can. Let’s get the word out and fight big oil!

  9. Thanks for the prop's guy's. I almost got this one done, then it's off to the next. I just need's the engine and interior, but I am undecided on what way im going with the engine. High performance or nice and stock but with all the goodie's. What do you guys think.?????
  10. Yes they come out nice. What I do is hold the dermel in one hand and place my hand on the table at an angle. Then I just move the body witch is in the other hand also on the table, I use the table as a slider this way there aint any shaking or slip up's. You also have to take the speed of the blade in to consideration you don’t want it too fast cause it will just start sticking, melting and make the body move all over the place. It has to be a nice speed where it's cutting without melting the plastic.
  11. Quit admiring your replies and views and get to building, you still got a long way to go my brother. The farther backward you can look, the farther foward you are likely to see. All them build's are looking very nice guy's keep up the good work. MR. RIOS
  12. X-2.... That's what I do. It's 1 cut and done. This way you know you got the same cut on both part's, and the body line's up to a ( T ) Here is a little something I chopped the other day. With the stone method this only took under 5 min to get to this point.
  13. The clear has too much harsh chemicals in them. It will turn the chrome finish silver. You got to use a future floor wax like futura or something to seal it. If not every time you touch alclad it will come off on your hands.
  14. This is where I get all my stuff from. They also have a few cheaper one's too. You just got to look around. http://search.harborfreight.com/cpisearch/...l&Submit=Go
  15. After reading all that tutorial it gave me a head ache.. What I do is turn the can upside down spray it till all the propelent is gone then you will not have a problem with bubble's, gas's nor any of that other stuff you heard of. make your hole on the side of the can run it through a small strainer and your done in min. But that's just me. Good luck. Anthony Rios.
  16. Thanks Marcos. I just love building models be it lowriders, mopar, top fuel and so on. Like I said before this is the only thing that keep's me sain and out of trouble. Plus where else can you get to meet a bunch of extended family member's who share the same passion that I do. Tu amigo Anthony Rios.

  19. Dam... we all posted at the same time now we are just going to confuse him.
  20. And don't forget under that base coat you will need primer. IF NOT YOU PAINT WILL CHIP RIGHT OFF. Go to a pep boy's or any place that carry’s the duplicoler paint's in a can that will be your best bet for starters. They have transparent reds, blues and greens. Base coats and primers. I use them all the time. The best result from a can would be to leave it in the sun for a few min or in some faucet hot water for 3-5 min then shake it real good for about a min. This will add more pressure to the can and make the paint come out thinner and smoother never try and get the car the color you want in one pass, it's going to take several passes. I have painted some car's from a can that where show winner's. Good luck Anthony R.
  21. that's a good one...How about this one. Real or Model
  22. I do the same thing jantrix does. What I use is HOK INTERCOAT CLEAR SG-100 after each paint layer is applied, pattern and even befor murals are added. This way it give's me a smooth surface for the tape to stick. No matter what you do when you have raw paint the tape never seem's to stick no matter how hard you try. This way if you mess up you can at least sand your mistake without getting into the main paint job. I Never had a paint problem since.
