  1. Do you have to use Alclad clear or will any clear work.
  2. Alclad won’t leave fingerprints?
  3. I’m building a 48’ flatbed trailer and need to spray it to appear to look like aluminum. Has anyone found something that won’t leave fingerprints if you touch it?
  4. The sleeper I used for my 76 LTL9000 conversion kit, (like the red and white LTL9000 brochure pic above), comes from the AMT Peterbilt 359 kit. The third issue with a slightly flat top and rounded roof edges. Ford did not produce any sleepers so any aftermarket sleeper would be acceptable.
  5. Yes, that looks very close to the AMT kit. The whole mixer setup is a good bit shorter than the Ertl mixer setup.
  6. AMT lost the licensing rights from Challenge/Cook Brothers to produce the mixer body.
  7. Yes, very poor representation. The tread detail looks like steps rather than grooves.
  8. LOL, Yep, I sent him an email yesterday. Thanks though!
  9. Anyone know of a good source for pickup shocks with the ribbed rubber boots?
  10. Thanks Eric. I think I’m gonna need to make it from scratch.
  11. No luck on the Courier, it’s turbo charged. The Revell Courier has a V8, the D-50 looks very different and the MPC Datsun is way off as well.
  12. Ok, I’m not sure if I have those kits in the stash but I’ll look.
  13. I’m looking for a four cylinder intake and carb as close to this as possible in 1/25 or 1/24. Has anyone seen one that’s similar?
  14. I’m canabalising a Revell 1980 Toyota long bed. It has that air cleaner. The valve cover is a little different as well. the 22R is more rounded. I can probably do a little sanding though to accomplish that, as long as the part isn’t too thin.
  15. Just ordered one of the 22RE kits. If I don’t use it in this build, I can always use it in one of my newer Aoshima Hilux kits. Like this one.
  16. Awesome!! That will work! I did send him a message asking if he’d be willing to do a 1/25 22R though. The 22RE came out in 82. The truck I’m building is an 81. Toyota changed the engine and the front end in 82 on their pickups. I could say it’s an upgrade but I’m trying to build it as close to stock as possible. Thanks for finding that!
  17. I’ve tried that on a lot of other items on there but nobody ever replies? Has me wondering if they even get the message.
  18. That engine would work but it’s huge.
  19. Looking for a 1/25 Toyota 22R engine. Resin, Shapeways etc. has anyone ever made one?
  20. Moluminum.com has two different lift axle kits.
  21. I have every kit that’s been mentioned here including two sealed Challenge mixers and even I don’t have this. A lot of people have never even seen it. This is the rarest AMT kit.
  22. Ok, I’ll try the Comet first and see how it looks.
  23. Thanks TJ, I’m hoping there’s something I can soak them in so it gets into the tread.
  24. Is there something the tires can be soaked in to make them dull to look more like rubber?
  25. Pretty positive that, all that GT is, is a repop of the Polar Lights version. Pretty sure the GT was unchanged from 05 to 06
