Ok, I don't want to scare anyone! Are you sitting down?? Today at 12:30 PM, I, Ben Wicker............actually finished a model!! It's true!! For anyone thinking of getting one of these, there are two upgrades I recommend. First, the main bearing in the drill is plastic, it can be replaced with an actual sealed bearing from the RC car co. Traxxas, part number 4611. Also, in order to use really small drill bits, you'll need to get the Dremel collet, part number 483

Who sells a detail, resin, radiator and electric fan set that replicate a modern, Be Cool type aluminum radiator with electric fans?

Thanks guys, this information is very helpful! I'm actually wanting them to paint the raised areas on vector wheels. I plan on shooting the wheel semi gloss black and then using the marker to paint the raised areas, silver.

What is the name brand? Are they "chrome", "aluminum" or just "silver"?

I just put a message in to Brad Wike. He owns the most accurate replica of the snowman's Kenworth. If anyone would know the correct color, it would be him! I asked him for the paint code for the color he used on his replica.

Coffee brown is a very very dark brown with slight metallic. It looks black at some angles but than others you can see the brown hue.

What are you guys using for either a chrome or aluminum, fine point paint marker that will not rub off if you touch it?

I swear, I'm starting to think vintage kit prices are solely based on my interests!! It never fails! There will be a kit that I never paid much attention too but now want and that kit all of a sudden starts going for outrageous prices!!?! Case in point, the MPC 1/20 Econoline van, first or second issue, whichever one the red box is, just sold on EBay for 273.00 !!!! Not even sealed!?! I have NEVER seen them go for that! Sure enough, it's the only kit I'm really after right now! Unreal!

And now, my moment of Zen! Ever since hearing about the 69 short bed being a limited addition kit, I was scared! I would sit in the corner, rocking back and forth, giggling every once and while with anticipation of actually getting one! Would I get one? Would life be cruel once more and skip over me? Well, I can rest easy now! CAUSE I GOTS MINE!!!! Bring on the next round Moebius!!!!

That's insane! I've seen other paper models that just blew me away! I'm actually more impressed when they build a model this detailed out of paper, than one that is built out of plastic!

Thats odd, I have had nothing but great service, they sent me a free replacement kit when the one I ordered had the wrong parts trees, and told me to keep the first one, and were even going to send me a second one because the replacement had the same issues. I made another call to them today and got a much nicer girl. She said they will send me a replacement kit when they get them back in stock.

Hey Dan, no that truck is not mine. I just found that picture on Google images to show what the tires would look like. Joseph is the best! Everything I have ever got from him was 10 times better than I expected! He will be making these tires but they may not be ready for a month or two. I'm sure he will let us know when they can be purchased. I'll be buying at least three sets myself!

Chief Joseph will have a brand-new tire soon! I have been begging him to draw it up and cast it for a while now! Can't wait to get some!!!

I just got one from Tower hobbies today, box was all smashed! Called customer service, got the usual I don't care attitude. I'll be calling them tomorrow and raising a fuss for sure! I spend way too much money there for that kind of service!
