  1. I have one on order with Tower Hobbies.
  2. Those are real nice looking brakes, Casey.
  3. Sorry, Eelco, but I always paint underside of the hood. More times it gets painted body color.
  4. Oh yeah!! SHINY :) RULES!
  5. Because I could? Seriously, I was trying to provide a little encouragement to Daryl. If I could ever figure out to use the search tool here, I'd be able to put in a link like you did.
  6. Maybe you could try different lighting? I just love SHINY :) you know.
  7. I use Photobucket with no problems. Never been to Flickr. Sorry.
  8. I like it. For a "ton" of wet look clear on it, it doesn't really seem to shine, though. It looks more satin.
  9. Welcome and WOW! What a way to make an entrance. Superb build.
  10. Thanks, Donn. I keep trying. After seeing your technique enamels and Fatkidd's technique for HOK, I mixed the 2 together and came up with my own technique and it seems to work for me.
  11. I will leave it to the master, Doug. Donn has probably forgotten more about painting than I ever hope to know.
  12. Try a basecoat of HOK Orion Silver that has a fairly heavy metallic to it.
  13. I cast 3 different types/sizes of disc brakes. http://crazyscaleautoparts.cybrarygoddess.com/ Click on disc brakes.
  14. Don't get rid of your stuff. What'll happen if/when you decide to build again??
  15. I'm into SHINY builds but you did a nice job on this one.
  16. Would all those Mustangs be considered a herd? Very nice builds and they're SHINY :)
  17. We wanted to send a care package to Marcia's brother in Afghanistan and the USPS rules were intimidating. We ordered everything he wanted online from CVS and they shipped the order for only $7.00, and mark received it in only 10 days. We don't know the carrier though - USPS, UPS, FedEx???
  18. Welcome and thanks for presenting a real hot rod.
  19. Excellent detailing on such a little vehicle. And SHINY :)
  20. My favorite year Camaro. Even better when it's SHINY :)

    60 Bel Air

    Most excellent and SHINY :)
  22. I have a little bender that was suggested by Romell (I think). It was also suggested to not try and do a bend in aluminum all at one time. Bend a little, wait a few minutes, bend a little more, etc. etc. Something about the aluminum trying to remain in it's original configuration.
  23. I used to watch the OCC show all the time, right up until they were the guests at Rolling Thunder. The OCC gang wouldn't talk to anybody other than to tell us not to touch their bikes that were on display in Thunder Alley. On Sunday for the demonstration ride for POW/MIA awareness, those OCC guys wouldn't even give us the time of day. We started chatting "Junior, clean up the shop". As I turned onto Constitution on the demonstration ride, the leaders were already coming back on the other side of the street. That's when we saw the POW/MIA bike being pushed along by some OCC employee. I haven't watched OCC in several years and won't ever again. Jesse James could build a better bike than senior and/or junior blindfolded with one arm tied behind his back.
  24. The Bug looks good, Guy. But that paint? Don't listen to Dr. Cranky. SHINY :) RULES.
