So I'm out in the yard doing some weeding in some cooler and breezy weather. I go over to the shop to get a mint candy and come out to a storm. So much for weeding today.
No way it'll replace BMF, Ray. Even using that magic tool, I was unable to get the EZ Chrome down into the 300 emblem on the side of a '57 Chrysler. For the meantime, I'll stick with BMF matte aluminum.
I tried out ta sample of EZ Chrome that Cobraman sent to me. In a word, TERRIBLE! The stuff is way too thickand doesn't allow for any detail to show through. The adhesive is super sticky. I worked for quite some time to get the glue residue off the paint. Some of the chrome came off fairly easy but left a clear band where the foil was. I scrubbed for a while with enamel reducer to get it off.
We were so happy when DAB started to repave our street. Last Tuesday they started laying down a second layer but then stopped about 6' from the cross street. Today we hear from a neighbor that DAB has closed their doors. What the heck? DAB is/was one of the largest paving companies in the state.
