  1. I added one from the gallery and it changed. You might e-mail Gregg and see if he has any ideas.
  2. Like I said I'm no Bill Gates. I went and changed my avatar. It changed on the "controls" screen, but not on my last post!!
  3. At the top of the screen click on "my controls". On the left side of the screen look for "personal profile". Click on "avatar settings". There are choices where you can use some "house" avatars, url's (haven't tried that), or a place where you can select pics from your computer. I'm no Bill Gates but it's pretty easy to do.
  4. You're welcome. To be honest I don't remember. It was off of one of the "hearse" sites that listed all the coachbuilders. I typed in 1958 Chevrolet hearse and found it that way.
  5. I thought two things on it "said" model, but more said 1/1 to me. It's a tough one!
  6. Anytime Florian. I had to dig pretty hard to find those pics. I know several of the body manufacturers did utilize Chevy chassis for their budget line ambulances and hearses. If you can find a book called American Funeral Cars and Ambulances by Crestline Publishing it's well worth the purchase price.
  7. I was trying to figure out where the long roof came from. I'd forgotten about the AlterNomad kit. They're both gonna be cool!
  8. Yeah we doan need no stinkin instructions!
  9. Looking good Cal! Great color choices.
  10. It was at one of the late night pool side bull sessions at GSL '97. Jim Keeler related the story. I can't recall if Jim said/knew who took the picture. There was a lot of modeling lore spread around that night. I wish i'd had a tape recorder!
  11. Pyro was all over the board on their 1/32's. The subject matter was always interesting. You turned a sow's ear into a silk purse!
  12. Beautiful work! Chevy could have used it in a 62 sales brochure.
  13. OOH, better headers ######'n! But you'd better check the aim on the headlights, it'll never pass a state inspection that way!
  14. That is cool, but a Volvo PV544 'sled would trip my trigger. Think a mini 46-48 Ford!
  15. There's so many.... My favorite(s) would have to be the AMT "Trophy" kits from 67-68. The 64 Galaxie Daytona special stands out. Favorite box art/worst kit would have to be Revell's original issue 57 Nomad. This car was featured on the cover of the May(?) 67 Rod & Custom. I can't recall the name of the the owner but Dennis Ricklifs striped the beautiful flames. The car had Skylark wires on it. If you have a original box look closely at the wheels. The car is in color on the box, but has b/w chrome reverse superimposed on the car. The art work had already been approved by Revell, but the wheel difference wasn't noticed untill it was too late. Some body at (Jim Keeler?) Revell went out to the parking lot and found a car with chrome reverse wheels on them, took a picture, and they were "mounted" on the box art car.
  16. Too Cool, Slim. I can't wait to see this one finished!
  17. Welcome Slim. You have some great builds there. I love the non-mainstream subjects!
  18. Man, Harry this is a tough one! I'm going to guess real. If it is a model Bill Geary had a hand on it!
  19. Very nice. I don't know how I missed the pics earlier.
  20. Oh man oh man oh man... That sure came out sweet! Great build!
