Mike that looks great. I bought the same kit about 6 months ago for the same reason as you, wanted to do something on two wheels. I worked on it a little but I'm pretty intimidated by a step on this bike and maybe you can help me. The wheels... They call for some crazy fluorecent orange color which is cool with me. The problem is I can't figure out how to spray the wheels to get an even coverage. Being a car guy when I spray a wheel I only have to do the part you can see... the front. I was thinking about maybe a dowl rod and some white glue but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW In my opinion one of the coolest things on this kit are the molded in weld seams on the frame. Wow does it look good. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Again nice work Mike. -Will

Pretty sweet Sully. I'd like to see this one in person. Are you gonna show it at the 3RA show in a couple of weeks? -Will

I spend a lot of time at work and taking care of my two little ones. I used to play a lot of video games but I don't really do that so much anymore. So for about the past six years I've been record collecting. Yes they do still press a lot of stuff on vinyl. Cd's are convienient but I love the crackle, pop, and white noise that you get when listening to an LP. My collection is well over 1,000 now with lots of stuff that not a lot of other people probably care about. I don't just stick em on a shelf either. Records are made to be listened too, no matter how valuable. The prize of my collection would have to be my mint original pressing of "London Calling" by the Clash. I had it autographed by the late Joe Strummer about two years before his passing. It's a fun a hobby. -Will

Wow!!! Great gasser. I've been watching this build for a while and I've never seen a nicer or more accurate gasser. Great job. What is the little yellow decal under the Champion logo on the firewall? I've never seen it before and it looks like an interesting decal. What kit did it come in? Gave me tons of ideas for my 54 Chevy Panel Wagon. Thanks for sharing this amazing build. -Will

Looks awesome Slim. You put out so many models so fast that it makes me wonder if you lease out Santa's elves for 9 or 10 months out of the year. Looks great buddy. Nice Arkansas touch with the Razorback decal on the car too. But one question, wheres the Pitt Panther? As always great short tracker. -Will

Awesome work Bob. I like this kit too and I have 2 of them. Great 60's "California Rod" look. Thanks for sharing. -Will

Dan, as my buddy George53 said your builds are so varied that I am always excited about opening a new post you put up. Mustang looks perfect. Who roped you into building it after the wreck? Not a job I would've wanted to tackle. But nonetheless it looks very accurate. Great job and like I said keep these posts coming. -Will

death race car build off (official WIP page)
Willy Survive replied to diymirage's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Harry, I think the other thread was to see if we could get enough people involved for a build-off. Thats why it was posted under General. This thread is for WIP's for the build-off and build comments. I'm new around these parts but thats what I gathered. Now that the build-off has started I'm assuming all new posts would be on this thread. But I've been wrong before. Sorry for the confusion. Anything we can do to remedy the problem? -Will -
Wow great job Ron ! It looks very realistic. I have a question though, how did you make the mud look "wet" like it does. I'm thinkin gloss brown paints slopped on there, but I wouldn't think you'd get that nice of a result. Thanks for showin us the progress on this one. It turned out great. Good luck at NNL. -Will
