Does this qualify as one? I know he has a very long term WIP in his garage, but that is about it... -

Hey mate. Very well done and clean build. Any hope for the totaled version? Glad to have you aboard. At least I'm not the only Asian. I thought you were from Indonesia? Whatcha doing down at Perth? -
I do a few other stuff. I have some 1/24 RC cars. Play them once in a while I collect diecast models. I am a gamer. I cycle.

What was your hardest build yet?
ericmaxman replied to vizio93's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It depends on the subject. As for me, I haven't really pushed myself yet. But my only NASCAR was kinda hard to get it to stick together. Other than that, I don't think any of my kits gave me much issues. -
The Legacy is done. Horrible model. Fitment issues all over the place. Just look at the D pillars. They can't fit the windows snugly!

Simple yet menacing looking. Very good. Well done. How's the GT500 coming along?

Revell 2009 Dodge Challenger
ericmaxman replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
What a nice subject. I do have a 1/18 diecast (or rather my dad) of that one, but I would love to do it in 1/24. All i have to do now is to find someone to import it here.... -
Nice subject, but the photos don't do the car justice. AFAIK, those are not stock rims, and these set seems to give the car a bit of a "bozu" style if you ask me..

Thanks so much for the feedback, Nick.. I was already almost hopeless that no one was replying.. anyway, here are some better pics.

Why do you guys model cars?
ericmaxman replied to ericmaxman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Very true, but I guess that there in the States, Revell kits are cheap, ranging from US$10-US$20 or so. But how can it be acceptable when a Tamiya GT-R costs a whopping US$66? Even here, Revell kits are hard to come by. And if I do find one, they cost MYR 130, which translates to roughly US$37. This is crazy. But the funny things is that the GT-R's price is a tad bit more consistent. It is MYR220 or so here, and that translate to around US$63. But for that kind of money, there are plenty of things that can be bought. But then again, it depends on which one has a higher priority. I guess it might be due to taxes imposed on such hobbies here. But if the exchange rate was 1-to-1, I can barely imagine my stash if kits costs MYR12 ! -

Some of my dad's builds

You guys really got me thinking. @ Eshaver If I were to preserve the car, how much longer can it last? At the rate this is going, I'd say it can last for another 10-20 years. But the tires are giving way. I need to find some good replacement tires. And then the Countach's rear spoiler. I also have to find a way to fabricate the missing part. The black color around the arches will be repainted. @ george 53 The reason why they look so good is because my dad did not paint 'em. He did it 100% OOB. At that time, paint were hard to come by, and the prices were very high. The blue one is a Celica. Quite an old one. Notice the ERTL wording beside the bug "56" ? I wonder if it refers to AMT/ERTL. I wanted to get him the Tamiya Honda CR-X Mugen Ballade Sports for his birthday last year, but still could not locate one. Fathers' Day is coming, and I might not get it in time. It was me who destroyed his long time ago, when I was way too small to understand the modeling mumbo jumbo. -

Guys, I traded my MR-s with wildrice's GTO. And boy I'm pleased with the trade. Anyhow, the GTO is a fine car, but not great. I saw a HRT 427 a while back, but realized no one has actually attempted to do one. I intend to, but I do hope you guys can help me on the way. Tricks such as cutting the grille, adding more exhaust etc As for the rims, I still have no idea what to use, yet.
