I just noticed the little "booger" on the front bumper drivers side.Looks like Im losing some paint....LOL.Oh well.

Well thanks to everyone watching this in the workbench section and helping me NOT throw it away....LOL.It is 99% done so Im calling it.I still need to add the horns...(cant find them)and the battery.Im not showing the chassis because I butchered it and I lost interest in finishing it due to all the paint issues.....ANYWAY.....PICS.!!!!!------------> And Finally....a shot with my 1950 Ford convertible....LOL...I just noticed something...my next model will NOT be any type of gold!! Once again thanks for looking guys.And I know this isnt as good as a lot of builds on here but Im having fun and learning.

Thanks man.....and you arent the first one to mention the bmf....BUT Ive never used that before and Im skeeeered to now...LOL.And blacking out behind the grill wont be done either.....I already glued it on...oooopppss.And Im SOOOOOO suprised someone hasnt mention one MAJOR boo-boo.....I forgot the stinking steering wheel!!!!So Im going to have to put in the steering column in through the windshield THEN mount the steering wheel.....DUUUUUH!!Im hoping to have this thing wrapped up soon.Thanks for looking and good modeling guys!!!Later.

Initial Mock up....HATING the two piece glass!!!Especially since I shaved so much of the trim.Hard to keep it in.Anyway....this is pretty much the final look.I need to install headlights....paint/install frame.I went with the wire wheels cause I liked that look.I had planned SOOOOO much more for this one BUT all the problems I had made me whittle it down a bit.Thanks to all you guys watching and giving me help/support/info.I will post up "underglass" pics next!!!Again...thanks to everyone that has helped me keep going.This is after all my fourth full build in 15 or so years!!!Pics-------> That sit for right now.....Next post will be ....."Underglass"!!!!!!!

Sup AGAIN guys...LOL.I swear Im going to finish this creature before long.Ive got one question.....Which wheels?Everyone has seen the Pegasus Chrome T's.Here are the wire wheels that came with the Monte Carlo SS Streetburner version.I did this because someone said it had a lowrider look.I REALLY like the look of these wheels.Anyway....what do you guys think? Chrome T's for comparison. Wires from Monte... So which one for this lost soul?

GREAT builds man.Im a "lurker" on LIL and I will say without a doubt that you arent "average" your builds are very clean and the detail is excellent.I (just like many have said) wish you would FINISH one....LOL.My interests are all over the place...rods,muscle,lowriders,rats.....whatever.Just keep on keeping on.I REALLY hope that when you finish that Gran Prix you send it to someone to do in resin.VERY nice build there.Id like to see a Regal (NOT GNX) done as well and a true LS Monte.I think the LS front conversion is okay but kind of under-detailed.Anyway...enough rambling.Your builds are FANTASTIC...kepp it up.

I put a picture of the paint in the first few posts.It is House Of Kolor in a spray can.The color is Orion Silver.If you have ever used this stuff you know that pictures DONT do it justice.It is LOADED with flake.

Ive been absent from the scene for like 14-15 years and Im 34....SOO...I wasnt exactly a pro when I quit.What I want to know are the rules of painting.I know that airbrushing and rattle can painting differ BUT what are the "real" rules.Ive heard NO Lacquer over enamel...(unless its alclad).No this with that ...yadda yadda yadda.Im lloking for opinions and facts from those of you that have vast experience.DONT treat this thread like you are talking to the entire site....LOL.I NEED THE HELP.And believe me...no matter how long and "boring" you may think your response is.....IM listening.Right now....Im scared to use enamel because of the "gassing out" thing.Ive had GREAT success (in my own mind...LOL) with the Testors Lacquer stuff....BUT im sure there are TONS more options.Throw in name brands.....where to get it....etc.I am a rattle can user for now BUT I still want to know the airbrush rules too.Anyway...thanks in advance you guys.I appreciate all your knowledge.

LOL...that is a TWO-fold question.I think everyone in their right mind SHOULD like the 1969 NOva.BUT....I think a lot of it has to be the fact that it is a VERY nice kit.I bought two yesterday and Im itching to start.Seriously...it is a very nice kit.The tree for the chrome is nicely spaced to allow what I think is a sweet release of the goods.(i.e. you shouldnt have to trim the parts too much)I just wish it came with the 396.Ohhhh....and if you are that anal I understand the gastank is "backaardds".I bet there will be an article on how to change that before long....LOL.

LOL....Im not sure....Ive shaved EVERYTHING except the moulding/wipers (scared to).What do you think....paint the trim/arms silver and the wipers black.....OR leave it all body color.Ill be honest...I was shooting for the stars on this one but now I just want to finish it.The custom exhaust/suspension deal is over and done with....LOL.And everyone wants this red.....heck Im scared to try ANOTHER layer on the NINE already done (two primer coats...THREE silver....two Gold...two clears....(pics coming with the clear)).Im still disappointed on this build but I realize I was shooting too high too fast.If I wouldnt have scribed the panel lines it would look like a bass boat.....LOL.Well...with that said....here are the pics with clear.I just want to say that Im SO SORRY if this post is getting on peoples nerves.I just want to learn and I think pictures actually DO speak louder than words.I sincerely appreciate all the knowledge you guys have to give and respect everyones opinions on the modeling subject.Im NOT posting these to uh-heeem (sorry) "whore" the board.I just NEED input.Thanks for looking guys and happy building!!!Later.Oh....PICS!!!------->

Well guys....I sanded it down a bit and man.....it looks like an artsand craft store....LOTS of flake.AND the paint looks terrible.BUT Im going to spray Testors One Coat Lacquer Inca Gold over it and see what happens...LOL.Wish me luck.Pics well be here soon!!Later.

Im officially mad.This is one of the reasons I stopped modeling so long ago.I painted it with House Of Kolor Orion Silver and dang it......orange peel and now it shows the trim that I thought I got rid of....I want to toss this thing man.Here are some pics.... Oh wait....I wasnt going to leave it just this color.I WAS going to apply some ghost flames using this as the flame color and the Testors One Coat Lacquer as the real color....scratch that.Im so dissapointed. PICS. I REALLY dont understand why this happened.....The primer coats showed NO evidence of the trim.And I tried my hardest to meet the requirements of the paint.Sucks man....REALLY sucks.I dont know what Im going to do now...IF I soak this thing in Easy-Off.......will all the putty come off too?AGGGGHHHHHHHH..........
