  3. Ohhhhh i like that. thumbs up
  4. Never done it before, but I know what it is and how it works. Would it stick to the molded door handles? (the ones which are very faint)
  5. What shade of red would you guys call this? I think its like a lipstick red.. (interior)
  6. I've also seen an electric blue, but I think that's too far out there.
  7. Ok, my mistake! The body seems to go on fine with a little bumps along the way which will go away as soon as I get everything trimmed and sanded. I say you should go for it. If you buy the resin body, you now have two bodies that sit on the same frame so you can do whatever you want to the other.
  8. Its the 59 m&m by jimmy flintstone. http://www.jimmyflintstonestudios.com/onlinestore/sunshop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=208 I was told it sits on the polar lights kit. To my surprise, I just found out today that it says amt kit. Guess I gotta make it work..
  9. Thats a sharp color! What is it? Cant wait to see more
  10. So i just started this. Im asking for your opinion on color choice for the resin body. What I got on the ecto is valspar satin. Should I go gloss ? I didnt take my time on the paint, I just wanted a baseline.
  11. Yes I know all about this. My science project a few years ago included trying to rust different metals and it's outcomes. I just had a typo in the title.

    '59 Caddy!!!!

That has to be the prettiest car ever made. I think you did an astounding job!
  13. Ok, I posted this somewhere else but I can't remember where. I have heard to rust aluminum, just wrap the piece in steel wool and stick that in water. The steel will rust and stick to the aluminum. I haven't tried this out, so if anyone does, please post pics.
  14. anybody hear or see anything about those two ectos?
  15. So just to clarify, purple power WILL work? Dawn and mildly hot water will work also?
  16. So I have this resin body. Directions say to soak in westleys white wall cleaner (which I dont have) to remove the mold. What mold? Can I use something other than w.w. cleaner? It says to use alcohol to. What order, or mixed together? And does purple power hurt it at all?
  17. I had this problem a while back. I was told just to wrap in steel wool and soak in water. The steel wool would rust and stick to the aluminum. Not sure if it worked though.
  18. Hmm well regardless of if we liked him or not, I think we can all agree he did some killer builds.
  19. Ill be starting my hearse hopefully soon, now that I have a week for spring break.
  20. ya,ya. I was donw to the last few hours so I said this is good enough
  21. Thanks! well, I dont know how long the track is..
  22. My brother is now a tiger scout and had the pinewood derby. THat was my favorite event, so I decided to make one. I painted it valspar satin black with no clear coat. It was pretty quick for my first car too, at 2.52 seconds. Enjoy
