JamesW replied to oldscool's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My 94 S-10 had a carbed 4.3, which was the last year it was available in the S-10 because they were leftover parts from 93. -

JamesW replied to JamesW's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)

TOP TEN LIST--WHAT IS YOURS?
JamesW replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hmm, I prefer tequila. #1 is Jose Cuervo followed closely by Petron. El Toro isn't too bad either. -
How about everyone on here put a link to it in their signature on other forums. That would help advertising a little. Might draw in some traffic from people that don't know about it.

Yup, fuel pump. Second one in 1 1/2 years (first one was my truck). Cut a hole in the bed for that one, too bad I couldn't do that this time too. LOL

If you plan to build that and don't use the Dolphins and/or Steelers decals I'd like to take them off your hands.

How do I best replicate high polished aluminum?
JamesW replied to JamesW's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hmm, I guess a trip to Walmart is in my future. -
Actually, doesn't have to be just Revell. They just said your best build. I contacted them about it and they said it wasn't limited to just their kits.

Sorry Harry. I figured it would be best in the tips, tricks and techniques section because once I got an answer it would technically be an idea that others could use. LOL -
About 10 people have been evicted over the last 2 days from the complex I live in. When this got hauled out I jumped on it. Needs refinished and I need to have another piece of glass cut.

Where did you build when you were a kid
JamesW replied to eizzle's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I was allowed to build at the kitchen table. My parents were pretty supportive. What really got me into modeling was a wrecker my dad had on his dresser for the longest time. Don't know anything about it, guessing it was a Revell kit. Can't remember if it was a Pete or a Kenworth, but it was VERY well detailed. I was ALWAYS messing with it. LOL One year my mom asked what I wanted for Christmas, I said MODELS, Semi's and Lamborghini's. I ended up opening an AMT Kenworth T600A and a Testors Lamborghini Countach 25th anniversary. I sat at that table for 2 days straight and built that Lambo. Was REALLY proud of myself, it was the firt model I ever built that didn't turn out to be a glue bomb. Never did finish the KW. -
My 1:1 is considered a model, and it's NEVER complete. Heck, I gotta tear it down now and replace the fuel pump. LOL
