  1. I would say thin the plastic out from the back and use a #11 blade to poke through and rough the edges up a bit. Heat the plastic to make some dents. Maybe someone else has a better method though.
  2. 1/64? WOW, they look like they were made for 1/24-25. Guess I'll check out Wal-Mart. Now that I think about it, I have seen them before, but it's been a while since I've looked.
  3. Where'd you get the lift, and what are you gonna do with the wire wheels and tires from this kit??? BTW, the Monte is lookin good.
  4. I've heard that if you run it under warm water while carefully bending back into shape works well.
  5. THAT was YOU??????????????? Man I thought my doors were gonna blow off when you passed me. LOL J/K George.
  6. Which time? LOL I got my 86 Cavalier up to 95mph, not bad for an at the time 12 year old bucket. Had my 95 Ranger up to 110mph and my 20 year old 78 Thunderbird up to 105mph.
  7. Nice score Joe. Those things don't come cheap. I've been trying to find a 79 Ford for a good price to build a replica of one of my dads old trucks. Can't wait to see what you do with that one.
  8. It's a disease Mark, one that none of us really want to find a cure for.
  9. I can definatly relate to some point. For me it is a NECESSITY to open EVERY new kit I get just to look in the box. Even if I have owned the same kit numerous times I can't stop myself from opening a new box. I try to keep the bags sealed until I am ready to build, but if it something I have never owned I can't stop myself from tearing the bags open. The Hilux I got on Monday was an open box but the bags were still sealed. Well, within 5 minutes of retrieving it from the shipping box I had the inner bags opened and parts laid out for inspection. Same with the Impala I got on Tuesday, although the bags are still sealed.....................but for how long?
  10. Looks good.
  11. The mailman has been good to me over the last couple days. I got this one in a trade on the "other" forum. And I got this one from our very own doublej.
  12. Cool, I gotta see if I can find some of that mesh.
  13. What did you use to make the gate?
  14. Nick is right though, that's not 4X4.
  15. Randy has the 4X4 suspension. There was a company that made the GMC grille, but I think they went out of business.
  16. Yup, Perry's has it.
  17. WOW, that is AWESOME, and so life-like.
  18. That's a nice Volvo. I've heard they're good cars.
  19. X2. I believe the Tahoe package was 4X4. A friend of mine had one for 6 years (5 of which it sat in his yard not running). He sold it to another friend of mine for $50, fixed it and it's been running strong since, he's been using it as a plow truck.
  20. Westley's Bleche Wite whitewall cleaner.
  21. I got the Ram Air hood for my 454SS today. EXCELLENT casting, no flash at all, VERY solid piece.
  22. Yes George, they went out of business. I left town for a couple years between 2000-2002 and when I came home they were gone, the store was empty. I've been meaning to go to the flagship store in Ann Arbor or Lansing for a while, just haven't found the time. There were a few times I went in there that I spent my WHOLE check ($250-$300). It really irritates me because they carried things that even Hobby Lobby doesn't. If I want to buy any DECENT kits, I have to drive to Adrian to Hobby Lobby. All we have here is Micheal's or a VERY overpriced LHS that doesn't have much of a selection.
  23. Definatly REAL.
  24. I miss the Ryder's we had down here. I would visit them EVERY WEEK and spend at least $50. Now the closest I have is Hobby Lobby an hour away.
