    Closest Hobby Lobby I have is an hour away. I get down there once a month if I'm lucky. Can't wait for the pics, I'm sure it looks good.

    There's no such thing as a hard kit, even for a beginner. Everyone starts somewhere. Which 49 Merc is it, AMT or Revell?

    Well, before the fire I had about 20 or so.

    If it catches my eye, I pull it off the shelf and start it. If I'm not getting into it, I put it up and start a different one. That might be why I have about 5 wips right now.

    Depends on how low you want to go with it. I really couldn't give you any tips without seeing the suspension setup on it.

    Thanks J, but brown just isn't a color I can see myself putting on a body. When I get my hands on a 71 Duster it's gonna have to be brown cuz It'll be a replica of my dads first car, and a 79 Ford pickup for a replica of my dads first truck, but those will be the ONLY brown cars I do. LOL

    That's the movie right there. It wasn't a bad movie either. Pretty good reference for some builds. I'd like to build the Dodge Interceptor.

    I was thinking of just running a coat of turn signal amber over it.

    That is a nice color, it looks like a charcoal metallic. Great job so far.

    Haven't decided on paint yet. I think I'm gonna hit up some stores next week and see what jumps out at me. I did decide the interior is going to stay white with an accent color of some sort.

    What is the length on those? I need some bigger cases that the AMT ones for some pickups.

    Just downloaded Firefox. That fixed the problem, works GREAT now.

    I have picked up a few tips, but haven't tried them yet. Use acrylic paint, a toothbrush, sponge and alcohol.
