  1. Thanks. Can't wait to see yours when you get to it. It's a pretty good kit, fitment is great, goes together very well. However, as with all of the older AMT kits it lacks interior detail. I DO have another one that I got from the same friend when I got this one, just not sure what direction I'm going to go with that one.
  2. Lookin real good Nick, But if memory serves correctly, in the movie there was a little bit of white (or off white) in the interior. I could be wrong, it's been a while since I've seen the movie. I do know however that the very top trim of the door panels was chrome or aluminum (can't remember which). Just tryin to help out. Can't wait to see it done.
  3. Thanks Bill. I got some paint sprayed on the Ford today.
  4. My newest wip, AMT 39/40 Ford. Was originally gonna go with a gangster style, but decided to go in a different direction.
  5. I got a few sets of rims today, and don't even remember ordering them. LOL
  6. Me niether.
  7. Thanks Dave. I'm tryin to catch up to you.
  8. In my case, I do a mockup and fitment of the MAJOR parts (body to chassis) before starting anything. The foiling is normally applied BEFORE clear, the clear helps to seal the foil to the body. In some cases, like on layitlow, some guys paint bodies and then sell or trade to other members.
  9. Finished this one up tonight. I need better pics, which will be taken on Christmas (since a little birdie told me I'm getting a new camera for Christmas.) Lowered the front and rear just a little, Revell Civic seats, rims and wing. Red base coat with a coat of Turn Signal Amber over it.
  10. Olds 455 Rocket.
  11. I'm ALMOST positive those caskets were an auction on Ebay.
  12. I smoke, and have for almost 10 years. HOWEVER, because of HEALTH, price and the sake of my children my wife and I are going cold turkey as of the New Year. I personally can go without if need be (I pretty much only smoke if I'm stressed or EXTREMELY bored). We have decided to finally quit all together. It's a NASTY habit I wish I had never picked up.
  13. Actually I used the same technique on a Beretta I'm doing for a buildoff on another forum but with a red base, it looks AWESOME. I might try that out.
  14. Here's mine: 2002 Dodge Intrepid. Custom painted dash. And my newest toy, 1994 Chevy S-10 Ext. Cab.
  15. Lookin good Gil. You need to hook me up with some bags.
  16. I know the pics aren't the best, but here's the hood for the lightning. If you look close, you can see a little bit of flake to it, that's just the amber over the orange. I think it looks pretty good, but it's a little brighter than I was hoping for. Guess I'll have to mix my own paint to make it a bit darker.
  17. I learn somethin new every day.
  18. No, the Fury was also a 4 door. That was King's original rendering in the book. I seen the title to the car and it said Fury on it.
  19. I still have a chance to, but, it's the ORIGINAL version, which was a 4 door. I don't like the looks of it as much as the 2 door.
  20. Looks like "Christine" is winning by a landslide, so far. One of my favorite movies. I almost bought a 58 Fury. Needs ALOT of resto though.
  21. Lowered, Hoppin Hydros rims. I think the paint will be orange with a coat of turn signal amber over it, (gotta test it out to see how it'll look first).
