HEHEHE! I got bout 300 horsepower and 325 ft/lb of torque. Yeah I havent had it a month and got 700 miles on it. Love the 99 Sierra one of my fav body styles. And Eric nice milage on you rig. I thought about getting that body style but my dad had an 01 suburban and right around 150,000 we had to put a new water pump and she started to go down hill from there. And I have been told to be careful of 99-02 cause of that problem. Wasnt trying to down that body style of truck if thats what that sounded like I apologize. Anyway would love to see some pics of yours, I love all chevy and gmc trucks. I plan on doing mods to it around May of 2010. Thanx, Benjamin -
My First Baby(no not human)
67PontiacGTO posted a topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hey all , Been a long time since I posted anything. So here it is I finally got my first vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado Ext. Cab. The pics show it as I got it November 27. The dealership had it for five days and a buddy at the dealership gave me first dibs. They just got it out of the garage when I saw it. Anyway it belonged to a 75 y/o man who towed a travel trailer every once and a while, he got a bigger trailer and needed a bigger truck. She had 83050 when I picked her up. He did bout $3,000 in upgrades to it when I got, such as a set of wicked dual pipes, new Michelin LTX M/S tires (so new they still had flashing from the mold), chrome door handles, mirror caps and tubular running steps, a hood protector and rain gaurds. I just put a low profile tool box in it last weekend(got it at a yard sale for $100 dollars, brand new never before used). Enough jabberin onto the pics! Thanx, Benjamin -
HEy yall, This is new for me. I just bought a new 1/16 1936 Mercedes Benz 540K Roadster by minicraft, and I want to do a custom is there any where I can find some custom parts that would look in scale for the ole gal. BTW it will be a twin turbo strait eight. and thats all I will reveal! HEHEHEHE. Thanx, Clutch

Marcos, Is this stuff by chance called scud back used in flies for shell-backs, wrapping bodies and realistic wing cases. Is kinda transluecent, strechty and easy to cut? Clutch

Dont use to much filler!
67PontiacGTO replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I am using the laquer evercoat in the squeeze bottle and I actuall did not pay 60 bucks, cause I bought the store's last bottle I got it on sale. But the guy told me the combo usually goes around $60. Clutch -
I agree with this. Unfortunately I am a product of the modern Nascar generation, and I think that is it sad what Nascar has become! I would of love to see the REAL Nascar races back in the day. I used to watch Nascar every chance I got just to see Dale Earnhardt Sr. race. He was the best driver ever! I wish he was still here today, there are many of us that miss him dearly. Clutch

You might want to switch to the EverCoat that Dave mentioned. A friend told me about it and I haven't regreted do soo. The only down side is it is about $60 buck with the catalyst. Clutch -

Hey DukeFan, I just got one of those from a friend of mine. Do you happen to know who made that little truck? Clutch -
I did that same color on a caprice of mine, on my car i think it leans more towards a copper rather than an orange color. Anyway it is a cool color none the less. Great job on the GTX. Clutch

I love the pyshcodelic bar under the dash. I think its cool to unique touches like that. Clutch

How hard was that kit to put together. I have been wanting to get one myself. Clutch

The body lines resemble a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud from the 60's. Very Cool! Clutch:)

MidnightProwler, They did this 50 Merc in the 80's and was just repopped by Round 2. Clutch

Good looking old sheriff car. It that a good kit and pretty easy to put together? Good job on the fit-n-finish. Thanx, Clutch P.S. Got any chassis and motor pics?

Really cool build you got going here. Its a shame that I don't see more of these vegas being built, thought the ones I have seen were really cool. If you haven't chosen a color yet what about a two-tone- Testors Dark Emarld Green for the main body color and silver down the middle of the green? I thought that would look cool and the chrome really stands out. Just a suggestion. Can't wait to see where you take this thing. Clutch

Hi everyone, I have seen some model car builders use gel pens to put on pinstripes and other paint and detail work like that. I was just wondering where do yall buy them at. I see alot of the lowrider guys use them. Thanx Clutch
