i dont have aything against you or your builds or the lil red express but it does seem to be outside of the parameters we set for this build plus, it wouldnt be fair to destructo i i wouldnt let him build his impala but i would let you build this truck
-
that hemi is putting the super back in superbee are you going to lift it a little bit (it seems to sit to low in the engine compartment) i like the idea of the ragtop too do you have a booth yet or will that be scratchbuild ?

i think the lil red express is taking it a little to far the two "trucks" i allowed are a el camino and a ranchero, both of which are kinda in between a car and a truck (almost like an open fastback) the little red express is a fullblown truck so id rather not have it in here
-
thanks, the colour is RAF training yellow (couldnt find the exact bahama yellow i wanted) it is a flat paint but when mixed with some thinner it came out just fine hopefully the clear coat will ad some more shine to it let me know when you are set on what you want to do and i will ad you
-
sweet, ill ad you to the list keep us posted that would definatly work IF it is not fully put together yet (its a build afterall) speaking of builds here is the update on mine as you might know, ive been working on the hood and this is (almost) where ill leave it at ill ad a small strip of styrene to the front bottom to keep it from bulging i also slapped on a second coat of paint, this time i watered it down a little bit with some laquer thinner it made it flow better and gives it some more gloss let me know what you think
-
added you to the list
-
cos its a ford of course still, its a nice looking model brussels you say thinking of brussels brings back tastes of thick cut french fries and that bier of which i cant remember the name but the label has a red/white checker on it not to mention the girls with thier "U" there is times i truly miss that little country of yers
-
mine is still scheduled to be done at some time in the near future but as it sits right now i am waiting on a fellow member to shoot me the custom decals needed
-
hey guys like i said, we had until yesterday to vote for a due date and the votes are in at 42.42 % of the votes and twice as much as the runner up our winning due date is...... june 1 2010 so...lets all follow brunos example and show some progress (also, i think those side pipes would look awesome)
-
looking good so far dont forget to ad a few of these http://cgi.ebay.com/Four-1-24-Fast-Women-C...=item5d256144cf
-
then for you it kicks off tomorrow i dont think we have an official start or due date yet i did say we would have untill wednesday to vote on a due date so ill tally the votes for that tomorrow and make an announcement on that
-
got a little bit of work done on the AARC hood still needs quite a bit more putty primer sanding rince and repeat but its a start
-
looks like yer off to a good start if your going with that dark a paint i would get some lighter rims to set it off though
-
if it is fake they did well, there is some sort of liquid under the car
-

diymirage replied to CustomFreak's topic in WIP: Model Cars
if you really want a euro style get some BBSs with the stretched tires (as much as i i hate stretched tires) -
this one right here and here is a picture (louzy but still) to compare the paint i got (RAF trainer yellow) to the butterscotsch i was shooting for and finally a shot fo the car with the racing hood on it as i mentioned before, this car will have two hoods, the one shown in this pic which represent a fiberglass hood we will bolt up for trackdays and a steel 6 inch rise AARC hood that will allow shelter for the 8 carbs and 2 aircleaners during road trips and cruizin'

those colours would look nice on it dont sweat the dizzy, seeing how you went with a prewired one, the hardest part is done all you do now is drill some holes in the heads and slide the wires in those are the wheels i had origenally chosen.... ....and that was the kit they came in that firebird definatly fits in this build ill ad you to the list decide on the paint yet ? as cool as the screaming chicken is, the idea of stripes on it is quite novel to me aswell
-
thats cool i wouldnt feel right asking for an engine right now though, i still have the desoto to install and i have to many kits im working on, it would just end up being a show piece in the garage dio for now thanks for offering though im also not going to be casting anything myself anytime soon the wife is working on a mini me and when he gets here in februari i doubt ill have much time for any other modeling
-
that is a nice car cant go wrong with those wheels either but you are right about that engine it is way to sick to stick in there (i mean, how are you gonna pop the hood? ) so ill send you a PM with my adres and you can ship it to me, then ill slap her in a 71 charger so, you cast that kit yourself ? id love to get started on that one of these days myself but im not sure if im ready yet i think i have seen that kit before, did you post pics of it onces ? either way, i like having old kits around i am not proud of, they make great scavenger cars
-
its all good plus it is nice to see a broader aray of manufacturers
