  1. never knew you could get a shaker hood on a ford nice
  2. they are great trucks you know what i loved best about them was back when they still made cars they were the first one to mass produce a vehicle with an actual constant variable transmission there were basically two pinnions , on on the engine, one on the driveshaft the belt would run in between the two pinions and as the pinnions moved further open the circumference of them would grow or shrink hereby changing the ratio this systemhad only one downside (and i LOVE this downside) because the system worked of engine vacuum once you were done accelarating and the car topped out and you got of the gas the engine vacuum would increase, change the ratio and the car would accelarate (there is a better description right here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DAF_600 ) at any rate the daf is still a very popular truck builder (though they no longer build cars) and is a very recognizable part of the european landscape plus, as a Dutchman i cant pass up the chance to build one right now
  3. thats right people i will be building a daf 95 sometime next week (wife wont let me play with my Christmass present untill after Christmass) little does she know that this build combined with a revell trailer my parents bought me for my birthday last year this whole build will be my retord to here "only one model on display in the livingroom" rule the truck the trailer and the paintsceme ima steal and adapt to this truck (also on a daf) at first i was planning to make a replica of an existing daf truck from a autotransporter but i couldnt find one in a paintscheme i liked so ima build my own and just make it all up from scratch any adivse or input is welcome and remember, you heard it hear first
  4. looks great shes a lil late, only 6 more days till Christmass but good the rust looks really nice but next time use a ford, they rust way better
  5. maybe i should use this build to put the finishing touches on project haz-mat

  9. i got a truck and the rear is lifted (thats as close as ill get)
  10. liking it so far make sure when you get ready to mount those rear wheels you spin them around once
  11. that all depend on how quick you build ill ad you to the list
  12. i agree the paint looks great also, that air cleaner really makes the engine pop
  13. that is a very nice stance
  14. i should try that on the 'sat drop my 18 pounds back to the stock 7 should kill the wheelspin
  15. that paint looks great is it cleared yet ?
  16. i always aply the BMF before clearcoating a model then after 3 coats of clear i wetsand the model and if needed i will polish with turtle wax
  17. sounds like it will need plenty of building ill ad you to the list
  18. best part of it is, physics will make it a lot easyer to regain control of my rather hefty 3100 pound sedan than of a lightweight 6000 pound SUV so once it goes, its gone (i used to have the exact same horn on my opel kadett)
  19. not a scratch on me or the wife for that matter airbags didnt even deploy i really wasnt going that fast 25 maybe ? musta just hit the car at a touchy angle BOTH the front fenders were as perfect as when the car first rolled of the line, not a scratch on them
  20. [of topic rant] i used to live in a city about 50 miles from my job all highway miles and from november to march all covered in snow (midwest michigan, tons of lake effect) it always amazed me that when i drove to work in the winter about 90% of the wrecks, spin outs and slide offs i saw were big SUVs with AWD it seems a lot of people get in a car with AWD and think snow, ice and black ice are no longer an issue apart from not knowing how to drive in a winter wonderland a lot of people seem to overestimate thier vehiles abilities to do so (specifically in the aforementioned SUVs) [/of topic rant]
  21. (hoping you speak german) i remember seeing this in english once, the question was: how does the snowplow driver get to the plow ?
  22. the very worst winter car i ever drove was a V6 camaro (cant remember the year) that was out fo alignment needles to say i totalled that sucker my hyundai tiburon wasnt too bad in the snow, i had it for two winters and only spun her twice the first time nothing happened the second time this happened :
  23. yes but those were divided into pontiacs and chevies i counted all the plymouths and dodges as mopars
  24. sure , give me a year and ill ad you to the list that will put mopars in the lead with 8 different models speaking of which, got some decals and foiling done on the cuda (also has a AAR hood, though slightly modified)
