  1. i actually used this as an excuse to get me that revell special edition 68 charger kit
  2. that does look spiffy i personally wouldnt mind seeing two or more people use the same base model and completly make it thier own keeps it interesting
  3. this has dukes of hazzard written all over it how bout a fresh paint job
  4. done hey guys, how bout this, im making a delorean with a flux capacitator, that way when you blow my up ill accelerate to 88 MPH and go back in time by just a few seconds so ill end up behind your missile
  5. hey guys im working on a plymouth GTX and i was going to put aftermarket rims from the partbox on drag tires that came with the kit here is my problem: the rims are to shallow so that when i lay them in the tires they do not touch the backinplate any tips on how to glue the backingplates and rims to the vinyl tires or should i build a shim to connect the plate and rims? thanks guys
  6. that would be quite awesome almost as good as that guy with the 71 mustang with a 1100 HP tank engine in it i remember seeing a focus once back home the guy must have bought two "focus" badges cos instead of focus the trunk read fucof
  7. thanks that ford was my most detailed build ever though but i have a few good ideas for this build, and seeing how this will well exceed my normal build time i can go all out or redo whatever i dont like ] lol i thought about doing a gto on a F body for this and call it the gtFo
  8. thanks guys ill try the cropping thing some more after work today
  9. i guess march 1 will do then
  10. not sure if mine has a macro setting if not, should i try portait and zoom ?
  11. im a lil intimidated with the idea someone would require that much time to build a car makes me think they will be far more detailed then mine i thought december 31st (which is almost 4 months) was crazy long also, cranky, will you be building a different car for this? and finally, if we get 12 people involved (or more) we should do a calender for 2009 kinda like this
  12. HP photosmart E337 5.0 mega pixels here are a few more that i just took, had her set for portrait, under fluorescent light , no flash (i stuck her back in the paintbooth so there was nothing that could take the focus)
  13. not all of it, the control panel on the dryer is clear as day but seriously, any advise on how to actually take decent pics will be very much apreciated
  14. long story short, this is an older build that i am quite pleased with it all started with a ford focus SVT but ugly car to begin with which will make an awesome baotanchor in its prime but not a whole lot more it comes with ford 2.0 zetec engine the only reason i bought this kit is because my cat killed my ford bigfoot monster truck even though most of the truck was tossed (man i wish i kept the wheels) i still saved the 572 CUI ford hemi as well as the tranny it took quite a few lil modifications to the frame, tunnel and even the hood (didnt clear the supercharger) but i managed to shoehorn her in there i custom build a replica of a qauife LSD and made a driveshaft and axles from 16 gauge wire the paint job is inspired by both the corolla WRC and martini it was also the first custom paintjob i ever airbrushed enjoy
  15. thanks so far ive been just using household junk like bailing wire and plastic boxes from say strawberries and such ill try and pick some up because im thinking of building some brushgaurds and such aswell
  16. thanks i guess i will order one then any idea where i could find those little plastic rods people use to build roll cages and such ?
  17. looking great, i love the paint choice few quick questions though, ive actually been thinking of buying this kit for a side project how are the extra parts? any roll cage sections, drag tires or anything?
  18. didnt read all 5 pages so sorry if there are any reposts but my top three : dead end drive by holy soldier radar love by the golden earring little nash rambler by the playmates
  19. works for me we should really get some ground rules laid out so far this is what we have (if every one agrees) objective: to build a car that could (or has) compete in a demolition derby type free for all race. armed with horse power and fire power the car will need to be able to destroy opponents it cant outrun? the vehicle: anything civilian of your own choice, hot rod, import, american muscle, car, truck, suv or econobox. as long as it is not a militry kit scale: anything goes? (i would prefer a 1/24-1/25 scale to level the playing field but that is just me) armour: home made or kit bashed, basically anything goes. build time: we start on august 22 end by december 31? (seems like plenty of time to me but this is my first build of too so...) records: i say we show WIP pics at every important step as well as one or two shots of the unstarted kit. i would also say we write a little biography of the car to explain the choice of car, armour and modifications (just so we can fully explain what we did to it) there was some mention of this being a curbsite buildof? to be honoust, not a clue what that means thoughts?
  20. i thought about that but i am only going to close my rear window the front and sides i will iether leave open or put removable armour on because i do have one or two ideas that are essential to the car, that need to be worked out in the interior mine will be a charger by the way, but that is all i am saying
  21. looks amazing i specifically like the detail in the light trim and the wheel wells, looks very realistic only one question though, why paint the front lip black and match the rear spoiler to the car? is that stock or personel preference?
  22. nice job im pretty sure if it were mine, after two failed paintjobs and a whacked frame i would title it a ratrod and shelf it nice keeping on
  23. i wanna know when the start date is im ready but i dont want to make a false start
  24. which leaves us right back where we started because you can cut as straight a line as you could paint righ ? my advise would be to paint the more recesses places first and when possible paint the lighter colours first aswell this leaves the most important dividing lines for last but with everything practice helps just do the best you can and i garantue that five models later you will be notably better at it
  25. if im not mistaking people wrap it in regular house hold alumimun foil ?
