it is not per se a trait of the acrylics , but the paint is enamel
i think i diluted it 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner ?
it would have been more shiny if i had added more thinner
it is also not wetsanded or cleared
i did ok on the detail painting but it is not my best overal paintjob
still, its better then the ones i did before this one
back to you harold
man, you were right
i was working on the body, had the rolling chassis sitting in the show
when all of a sudden the engine jumped out
snuck up on my buddy criss who just happened to pass by
and RIPPED HIS HEAD CLEAN OFF
it was pandolerium man
with the testor enamels , yes, i would say you are safe without primering
with the water based acrylics (found in the same square bottles) i would say no
i've tried it but with disapointing results
well, there you go
i picked up a can of the stuff at autozone a while ago to match a fading gass cap to my rims on my tiburon (1:1)
so like i said, its duplicolor gunmetal
would love to see what this goes on
frank sorry for the threadjack
love where this car is going, it kinda reminds me of a certain lemans audi but that was stickered
nice job
if i might take this one
the mustang i build (think it was a revell) had clear tail lenses but very nicely formed lines and very good insturctions on how to paint them
i used testor acrylics (might have be enamels though)
this here is jimmie
20 pounds of cat wrapped in 3 pounds of fur
he's an awesome cat
i got him from a girl who wanted him as an indoor cat and so she had all his claws removed
i live way out in the sticks and i dont believe in indoor cat so i let him run out and guess what?
no one told him he does not have any claws
so this summer he has caught some frogs a few mice two gardner snakes and one and a half bunny (at least, he only brought me one and a half bunny)
he is also in charge of keeping me inline when i am on the internet
zuchiholic
your cat boo boo reminded me of this one
welcome aboard jones
that looks like a pretty good platofrm you got there
i might have to put hydros on mine so i scoot right underneath it
good job on the suspension
i used to always use peices of the spruce (you know, the trees that hold the actual parts) to make lift blocks
but then i read about the styrene stuff, turns out you can buy little rods, tubes, sheets and whatnot of the same material the kits are made of at specialised hobby shops
so i'm using those now and that works awesome
you might want to keep that in mind for the rest of the build
thanks
im sure it will eventually
i just placed it on front for picture taking purposes
im planning on removing the foglights and sticking the mounting bars of the plow/bumper through those hole
did someone say gullwing?
(no where near done with the interior, it will have a dash people)
ajulia that mudstank is looking awesome already
looks like what a mustang would be if it were invented by marry shelly
cant wait to see more progress
that would be awesome to drive
specially since i dont think i spotted any harnasses ?
great build , love the creative aspect of it, really made it your own
love the intake , are you running a 440 6 barrel with three holley deuce carbs on it, on pipe per carb?
i kid , i kid,
looks awesome man, specially like the passengerside door
not a clue what it is there for but it looks very realistic
nice touch
