  1. I want to chop the top of my '32 3 window coupe. I know I saw a how-to awhile back, but can't find it. Because the "a " pillars have a slight slant, it looks like the roof would have to be cut apart and material added. Any help, suggestions, or pix would really be appreciated! :?
  2. let's all go to the NNL East or a similar event and overflow the primer projects table....... if life gets in the way of building and completing models, re-arrange your life!
  3. I had some fun with the Cobra- I used SOHC heads on the 427 side oiler, just for something a bit different! I had to rebuild the footwells to clear, then decided to install poseable front wheels. The tires are the MPC "hollow baloney" tires from the late sixties/early seventies.
  4. Here's a link to photos of my latest 32 Ford 3 window coupe project, also the a-v8 is done after 3-1/2 years of off and on work.... Enjoy! http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul_Payne
  5. finally got the a-v8 done, so here are a couple more pix. http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...shotrods003.jpg http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...shotrods004.jpg
  6. aarrrrrgh!! my workbench is overrun with Ford hotrods! no, wait, this is a GOOD thing...... enjoy the pix! http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...shotrods003.jpg http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...shotrods004.jpg http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...shotrods009.jpg http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...shotrods010.jpg
  7. These kits are just getting more pricey- glad to see such a nice restoration of a junker- you could never tell from the after pix
  8. nicest lakster I have seen in years- excellent workmanship- and definitely, go with the t tracknose body! I used that Offy in my first 32 Ford project, also with a track nose, but with 2 side draft carbs and an exhaust header from a truck- no restrictions allowed! (or is that a LOUD!) http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...els07_16011.jpg
  9. I've been working on a 1929 a-v8 for about 3-1/2 years, through 2 moves and no other projects- I just decided to git'er done, no matter what..... but I attempted more scratch building and parts altering than any other project, so that has kept it going- I just have to finish the fold down windshield...... my projects bog down when I encounter a problem I don't know how to fix, or when I can"t dream up a fabrication method to get a shape I need. So, I have few on the shelf like anyone else. How about, at the big car shows, we have a stalled projects table and ask everyone for an idea on how to proceed..... http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...nnls2006004.jpg http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/Paul...ne/my29av83.jpg
  10. looks good- don't forget to sand your tire treads and dull down your tires- makes a world of difference! be proud of that rat!
