  1. You did a wonderful job on the 'vettes. I'm thinking about doing the '63 version Bondurant drove. I did manage to do the "60 version that I posted "under glass" around the first of November, if you want to check it out and let me know what you think. Again, " Awesome Job "
  2. [attachment 3450:DSC00382.JPG]Finally complete: Added hood pins, strobe stripe. Cleared and polished.
  3. This brings back memories, guys. Years ago I owned a "72 Trans am 455HO. It was the standard TA blue with two lace stripes in white running from the front of the hood to the rear spoiler. The lace really looked good. Good luck on your search.
  4. nearing completion on the Willys. Needs some touch-up work.
  5. The paint is Testors one coat lacquer, "lime ice" I really like the way it goes on and dries quickly. I still have to do the black on the top portion. Thanks for the comments.
  6. Progress report: Started the painting, needs more coats. also trimmed the front to match the curve of the top of the grill. More to come.
  7. Great job on the t-bolt. I did a Russ Davis version recently; one of the most fun builds I have done. You get an A+.
  8. More progress on willys. added dash to interior, installed radiator and hoses, and scratchbuilt a fuel tank from a '65 GTO
  9. thanks for looking, i plan to do a two-tone with the testors laquer "lime ice" and black.
  10. a few photos of my wip '41 willys. engine almost complete, pancaked the hood and frenched the head & taillights.
  11. oh, yeah i had to narrow the chassis a little on the sides and do a little filing and cutting on the radiator shroud and inner fender wells, but nothing major. the gto battery should be on the driver's side
  12. thanks, i cut the gto at the top of the windshield and along the rear deck. i used the roof from the el camino and of course the bed and tailgate, all in one unit and also ended up using the chassis because it has better detail. i had to narrow the roof toward the front so it would match up with the top of the windshield. i had a rear bumper on it from a '61 ranchero that looked much better than the el camino bumper that's on it now, but somehow my dog took a liking to it and chewed the end off. if i can get another ranchero bumper, i will probably replace it. the firewall and dash are from the gto, and i took the console from the el camino. it was fun to build something different, thanks again for your feedbaack.
  13. thanks, it's an AMT kit, I used the chassis from the el camino.
  14. Thanks Ricco, there just seemed to be more "66s around and I got a good deal on e-bay.
  15. retrying photos.
  16. nearly finished my gto/el camino hybrid. wheels are from a '70 chevelle, seats and door panels are from a '70 cuda, basic stock 389 with scratch built induction manifold and aluminum stacks. ralleye stripes from the '69 z28 (thanks elliot945). vinyl top from model car garage. lots of fun to build even with some minor fit issues under the hood.
  17. thanks, guys, once i saw that there were decals available, i decided to go for it.
  18. nice work, hope you will not wait another 10 years for your next one.
  19. i had this kit sitting around, not much detail, didn't know what to do with it. i decided to do the car that bob bondurant drove in the early sixties in road racing for "washburn chevrolet".
  20. thanks guys, for the comments
  21. my version of the car that won the championship in 1970, driven by parnelli jones.
  22. thanks for the comments, glad you like it.
  23. sunoco javelin driven by mark donohue which won the trans am championship in 1971. johan kit from e-bay, decals from fred cady.
  24. I feel like I've just been "mooned". Looks great, good looking engine work.
  25. thanks for all the comments, guys. to randy: the fuel filler assembly was scratchbuilt from scrap plastic, and small droplets of superglue gel were added to simulate the rivits. for all you early trans am fans, go to "historictransam.com". they have tons of photos and info.
