  1. OK been awhile, not much of an update, as I've been in a builder block for some time, now I'm out of supplies, ahhh but I will get over it, I did the engine, not the best I've done but it will have to work, scratch built the dizzy, and took the super charger and Webber carbs out of a '57 chevy kit, and yep sure enough, they fit the 409, and I have just got to get rid of that darn axle thru the block, it looks tacky, anyway, hay she may be low, but aint no one said she had to be slow....
  2. WOW! I thought I was the only one who, started the body work, then built, then test fited it all together, then painted, holy cans of paint, builder batman, I'm not, WOOO WOOOO.
  3. I get the same thing here, 300 views an 4 respnces, and one of them is mine, go figure? so I moved to a independent forum, I still come here from time to time, and see what people are doing but not as much anymore, I mean how many ways can you build a 32-34 ect ect over an over, I like to see fresh builds, not the same, ol' same, so I find the independent forums refreshing, and easy to look at, and the members # are not so huge that you cant make some really kewl friends, oh dont get me wrong, I've made some friends here, but a very few, but I lean more towards the independent forums now, I myself try and help people out buy searching the want section, to see if I may have something they may need, and in the past I have even answerd a few questions about certian things, if I can help I will step up to the plate,
  4. I know for certian, becouse I had it posted as a sig, here, but I aint gonna tell
  5. I use Bondo brand, body repair kit, I like it for big jobs, like filling the pannels on my '65 grocery getter, build that I have on here some where, anyway its a 14oz can, comes with a tube of hardener, the hard part is mixing it, getting the right amount to work with, and for small jobs I use the bondo brand, glazing and spot putty, to me both are easy to work with, I used both on Reapers Ride, and have no issue's up to this point, you can get both from walmart, and just about every parts store
  6. Nice work there Evil, sharp and good looking,
  7. Nice and clean, fine truck there....
  8. Now I gotta admit the paint is great, but the curve of the rear quarter pannel skirt, just gets me, not my build, but I would of skirted it even, or well flat, so that it was with the bumper, but it has that ol'scool look to it which Is kewl, nice work man, nice work...
  9. <img src="http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="angry.gif" /> This a build I got going on over at my forum, CBP build, here are the shots upto date, now is it a tail drager, or low rider? Scratch built cruz'r skirt, yea it's plastic
  10. I got a question for you, I use a translater program, do you guys use one too?
  11. I dont do alot of scratch building but when I do I use stuff like .030" to .040" plastic sheets, you can get these sheets from .010" to .060" thick?, also it comes like 6"x12" sheets, you can get at some ace hardware stores, they stock some good stuff there, aluminum tubing, for scratch building distributors sizes like 1/16"X .014 stock number 8100, 1/8"X .014 stock numbern 8102, 3/32"X .014 stock number 8101, and for the wire I use from radio shack, stock number 278-502, insulated wrapping wire, 30 gauge solid core, 50' it comes in red, white, and blue, and you can paint the white wire, you can also use old dead computer mouse wire for detail, and even some old electronics, jewlery files, i found at Ace Hardware too, there super fine, mine came with 6 files and a handle i think stock number is 707-011, pin vice, and micro drill bits, starting from 61-80, or if you like .039 to .0135, i got both offa ebay for like 9 bux, Well I hope this helps you out a lil, the stuff I mentiond can be used for different things, just gotta play.
