  1. Maybe you could use aluminum can, put the louvers on the can then epoxy the aluminum over the plastic trunk
  2. This prolly wont help much but try the auto parts store, or auto paint shop, the sheets I have are from testors, not that great but gets the job done,
  3. Not much into low lows but got to give credit where credit is due, that '65 sure looks great, paint the frenched taillights? and if there not then they sure look like they are, all of it man looks smoking hot, great job
  4. From what I can see it looks good, looks sorta like it might have a lil orange peel, orange peel looks like an orange, but that can be fixed, with a lil sanding to smooth the paint out. But its looking alot better.....
  5. Don't give up, or get frustrated, it will take practice man, I've been there more then I few times, with even base coats of color, give the body a good soaking, then a good cleaning, and a good rinse, take your time, its not like you have to build it in a day, after a really good rinse, then a good time to dry, then go from there, a Lil sanding, to give the primer something to hold on to, a light coat of primer, let it sit, go have a soda, work on the frame, the engine, suspension, then check it in about 15 min or so, it should look kinda speckled, dang I don't have anything that's not in full primer, or I would show you, hmmmmmm, well then give it another coat, just enough to kinda cover it, go back to your soda, and work on the other stuff, say give it another 15 or so, now at this point I lightly touch like the rear quarter panel, to see if it's dry to the touch, or leave it for a few days, because I do body work on my builds I use allot of primer, but not that much, but enough, all this will take practice man, and YOU will get it down, your dad didn't learn it over night, he learned how to do the paint over time too, thru trial and error, now some people would say my way aint the right way but it does work for me, but I would get yourself a bag of plastic spoons from the dollar store, and some plastic for sale signs, and practice, When you get frustrated all you do is is get deeper into a mistake, and then you dont want to go any farther, step away from it for a few, and work on another part of the build, like I said my friend, you dont have to build it over night, take your time, relax and enjoy it, you will like the end results better, and remember practice. PS I myself use Dupli-Color sandable primer from the parts store....
  6. I dunno I went in there about a OHHHHH a week ago?, and I didnt have any issues, and have been checking the site out off an on now OHHHHH about 8 months maybe, yea about a week ago, it was a lil different but I got on just fine.
  7. Thats what I do, bash from other kits, but there are some people who sell parts on ebay, and you can trade here, and there are a few who do resin stuff, both good and bad, so just check it out on the web, or look under links here on the forum, you might find something, I've had good dealings with people here, ummm so far, and I have listed them as good traders, just a matter of looking around man... Oh and welcome to the forum
  8. Hay guys are we talking about the guy who puts out the resin carbs, and intake choices?, GHOR? I never bought from him, but have been thinking of getting a few of his resin intake set ups?

  18. Not much of a seller on ebay, tho I am a buyer, I wil wait for about 5 days before I ask the seller if there is a problem, or wait till it clears my account before I ask, but as a buyer, I know most people wait till it clears, some people I deal with on a regular bases on ebay will ship the item before it clears, knowing no matter what I will take care of it, but like I said as an avid buyer I will wait for about 5 days,
  19. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY, PARTY AT YOUR HOUSE TONIGHT WOO WOOOOO
  20. Man you dont even wanna lnow how many times in the last 35 years of building off an on, that I get half way thru, and realize OH crud, DANG it, but I just shelve it and get back to it later, with a fresh perspective, and a different view, so no man your not the only one, who isnt 100% happy, but when you get it done, and realize that people will be looking at that killer build, with a few flaws, from an arms distance away, it all works out ok, becouse they see the build as a whole, they dont see the imprfections, unless there into the detail of a build, I had to learn that with drawing, people dont get as close to it as you and I do, so they dont get to see all the bad stuff, anyway no man your not alone
  21. Might try http://www.tcpglobal.com
  22. Looking sharp
  23. Looking good so far, only issue I would have is the frame not being long enough, but it's looking good man, I wanna see this on, under glass
