I wish I could have arrived a little earlier to get the "early bird" specials lol.. Im looking forward to the potbelly show coming up on Sunday Nov 4th. Its always a great show and alot closer to home. I hope to see a few of you there.. Take care
  8. Hey Sean, I have never personally used the any of the chrome paints you have pictured, However I can tell you this, I have used the krylon brand spray paints from walmart and I was really happy with the results for a rattle can!! They spray very well as the cans come with the fan spray nozzel. The paint goes down great with even coverage. If you might have an ollies discount store near you I would check there to see what they might have. I have bought dupli-color and some krylon paints there for dirt cheap prices.. I hope this helps. Im interested to see your results. Take care and good luck.
  9. Do you think your gonna make the show Jeff? Its sold out so its gonna be a full house. Later Nate
  10. Hey Tim, I estimate we will have 10 or so eight foot tables for our contest area. Im positive you will find some good deals at our show, I always do.. Since it's your first show, I would recommend you getting there at around 9:00 or 9:30 before it gets busy and all the good bargains are gone, And it will give you time to just walk around and soak it all in. It's a lot of fun. I will be the goofy looking guy at the front door taking care of the admission/raffle. Im sure you will have a good time. See you there. Take care, Nate
  11. Hey Tim, Hows it goin? Thats great to hear your bringing stuff to the show!! You sure can bring more models.. The club president just informed me, The show is sold out.. (100 vendor tables) So its gonna be a full house We look forward to see you. Take care. Nate

  13. Hey Gang, This is a reminder to Sellers and Buyers that the 4th Annual Spring “South Hills Model and Toy Expo and Contest” will be held on March 4, 2012 at the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Hall. Many of you already know that this is THE show to attend if you are a Builder, Buyer, Collector or Seller of Plastic Models, Toys or Die-Cast vehicles. The contest is NOT run by the Club, it is NNL style where those that are attending (spectators, buyers and sellers) are the people doing the voting. There is no inept judging, bias or favoritism. The people’s vote are the ones that count. Club members are not permitted to enter the contest although the Club will have a table set up to show what we build and to provide information about the Club if you would wish to join. The Club table will be manned at all times through-out the Expo. For those wanting tables to sell their products it is highly recommended that you put your deposit down as soon as possible as these tables usually are bought well in advance of the Expo. Don’t wait ‘til the last minute to try to get as many tables as you need. All tables are 8 feet long and the cost is $25 for one and $20 each for two or more. We are also looking for Sponsors for the Expo and Sponsorship starts at $20. Anyone who would like to join the Club can fill out an application at the Club table. We are always looking for new members who like to participate in Club activities around the area during the course of the year. Please contact our Club President: David Henk at (412)-469-9680 for more information, table registration, sponsorships or other questions related to the Expo. Hope We Will SEE YOU THERE!!! 19. Hey gang, Im interested in possibly finding two modellers who might still be living in the in the Pittsburgh (Mckeesport area). The first fellow is named Ernie Goring in his 60s or possibly early 70s. and the other fellow is named Jeff Gusky Probably in his early to middle 50s. If anyone might know these guys, Please shoot me a message. Thanks & any help is appreciated. Nate
  20. Nice clean build Sam. You do good work. I Sure like the diorama scene.
  21. I was just curious, What does it take to become a MCM Ohana? Time as a member, Number of posts, Or that secret handshake with the senior founding members ? Nate
  22. Nice build Dave. It's pretty cool to see build ups of everyday vehicles, Especially one of my favorites, A full size GM quad cab truck . It's a bummer nobody cast the parts in resin to convert it to a GMC. My wifes step dad has a GMC 3500 dually in your 1;1 body style. Great job on the over all build !! I really like the plow. Nate
