  1. Then you've got Mad Skills! This is an outstanding build. Bingo, this is exactly where I am with my '55. I'm going to try this too. Thanks for the helpful idea.
  2. Wow, I'm a big fan of the military leased civilian vehicle range (MILCOT, CUCV) Well done!
  3. Nicely weathered truck. I esp like the way you handled the engine
  4. Very inspiring work. Thank you for sharing your techniques as you build because it helps us, well me anyway, to solve problems in our own builds. Awesome, totally awesome !

Very nice build overall, but I esp like how you handle making the metal parts look like the type of metal it's made of. Well done
  6. Haha I love it! That's outrageous
  7. Great idea! Very unique build and I like the pace car idea mentioned above
  8. Thanks guys. I picked up the 1/25 Bat-Pod by Moebius and started building it. This will clear my head to find a solution to the windshield. I wont give up BTW, the delay in reply is the thread got moved and I didn't notice.
  9. Thanks for sharing your BMF/paint/badging technique with us. It looks clean and realistic
  10. Super cool project underway! I like your detail style touches
  11. AMT kits kill me, I don't like them. Your build looks pretty good.
  12. Thanks for the compliments guys! And all the helpful discussion posts here. Russ - Thanks for the very kind words! Raul - thanks for clarifying that pictorially. Chariots of Fire - Yeah, that helps. It is sort of what I'm going to do to solve it. Thanks LB - Thanks for posting those pictures. Very helpful. I just downloaded them ... and to add to Raul's explanation of the cab correction, these are two pictures of the corrected cab I'm working on, notice the bottom window frame is parallel to the body bottom This is the current windshield condition - the 'glass' part on the sprue reveals gnarly flash and seamidge this is what Longbox55 was describing in regards to the under roof line at windshield window 'glass' dry fit
  13. what no antenna? Awesome project idea !
  14. Good work on a creative project. More underside pictures please
  15. Awesome project! I just now found it and looking through the pages. I plan a similar thing with the '58 Ford Thunderbird bubble top kit. How are you handling the bottom of this vehicle?
  16. Raul - the box art is old/ original but the cab part in my kits are the corrected version rctruk - Thanks for the compliment. As Raul describes, The bottom of the window frame is parallel to the bottom of the body. Visually easy to see. However, if you unable to see inside the box before purchase, then I don't know
  17. While I'm trying to figure out the front windshield and it's bogus fitting glass part. ... Thanks for the explanation, Raul. I'll try that I finished the seat back detail to match the seat bottom seam part. Sprue was stretched to the same diameter and then glued, trimmed and sanded in place I'm now working on the windshield and will solve this thanks for looking
  18. Ok, thanks for the quick reply and detailed solution
  19. yes, the engine paint and build up looks great. As far as what color for the body, I don't know. I'd like to see it as a daily driver. And subtle weathering as light dusting like the owner hasn't washed it in 2 weeks.
  20. I like it. This might be a future aromor project: http://i605.photobucket.com/albums/tt136/123killingjoke123/CAM_2408.jpg
  21. ok, cool. It fits best from the outside but still very badly. I just need to figure it out I guess
  22. Good idea because your fix looks great. Did you glue to the windshield part or the cab opening? I'm building this truck now and I'm at this step trying to solve this. What type of glue did you use to not damage the 'glass' part? Lots of questions I know thanks
  23. Super clean build and paint. Well done. How did you handle the windshield glass? Did yours fit properly?
