  1. After I made this trailer from leftover PU parts, I got an idea to make a swap meet dio. I was out of basic raw material for a build (kits/bodies), so I rounded up some parts from the salvage yard. I already have two large foto backdrops that take up a bit of space, so I made this small. Actually too small. it's only good for straight on shots. I don't like seeing a lot of unrelated 'stuff' around the outside of the actual model stuff. I think that's why my two garages are so sucessful. Anyway, I decided to make this a one time deal and maybe use this little fenced piece for straight on shots of a model or two in the future.
  2. Looks like you have a nice active group. conGratz to Mark Jeffries. Nice build!
  3. Put posters of YOUR OWN builds on the walls. I probably went about this in a baked Polish way, but I got what I wanted. I opened a blank page in Microsoft works and inserted photos of my models. I used the reducing method in Works to get the photos down to scale. Right click to hilight, then use the corner arrows to get it down to size. After I had a half dozen or so on the page, I double checked the size by printing on a regular printer paper sheet. When the sizes were right, I then printed the sheet on photograph paper. And cut them out )
  4. This is one of my newer builds. Quite a few had said there were problems with this kit, but I didn't come across anything. Even with my screwing around, stuff fit pretty well. Hood is off because I used Model Car Garage's really nice Stromberg carb and linkage set. Those are really neat, but price is normally out of my budget. probably won't be going that route again.
  5. Nice looking car. I really like those wheels !!! Nice work.
  6. This is major cool !!!!!! I too, jumped into slot racing in the 60's with both feet. As a participant, tho. Great work !!!
  7. This was /is one of my favorite builds. Resin '29 2 door sedan, scratch built frame, parts box stuff, grafix by geezer radiator and gas tank inside back door. Modelhaus wheels and tires:
  8. Thanks, All. I hope no-one misunderstands me. I can fully appreciate a highly crafted, detailed, replica. I'm just sayin', it's not my style.
  9. I see there are some salt enthusiasts here, so for my first post, I'll throw in my salt roadster. I call this Crossthread because of the positioning of the rear mounted Hemi. I do lot of IMAGINEERING, and at times disregard the laws of physics. I build for my pleasure and not for anal accuracy, so without further apology:
  10. I have a couple of what I don't refer to as dioramas, but rather as foto backgrops. They're not a complete scene. Most of my recent models will be fotographed in one of these 'scenes'. I use the interior for WIP's, and take the exterior one outside for finished fotos. Sometimes something I do will please me more than others. This was one of them. I converted a resin compressor to upright, and powered it with the big engine from the Lincoln Gangbusters kit. Little bit of over kill !
  11. Lotta great details in there. Great little composition. Nice work.
  12. Again, gorgeous craftsmanship, Raul.
  13. Beautiful job !!!! Amazing detail work,
  14. That's a great model !!! Excellent craftmanship.
  15. Hi, all. I'm Geezerman. Joined up to look around, spot some neat models, and maybe chime in once in a while. I'm a member of Drastic Plastics TRak board and Sharks realm. 73 yrs old and living on the central Gulf coast of Florida. Returned to modeling 10 years or so ago and pretty much stick to scratching and bashing. Geezer's Garage is my foto backdrop. Beater hot rods are my favorite. Any model with 'attitude' gets my attention. My tag line reads " I don't build kits.....I MOLEST them'. Cheeers, Clay
