I also use a Grex and love it. I use about 28 lb. of pressure and the number 3 tip. Your primer has to be smooth. I use 3600 polishing cloth . Paint should be the consistency of 2 percent milk. i only use lacquer paints. A trick i use is to spray 876 lacquer thinner as the last coat. If you have a problem email or pm me. You have to have patience and practice. If you can join a club do it. Go to shows - ask questions that is how i started .
Hope this helps. Castrol Super Clean can be your best friend when you are starting out.

Go to an auto paint store and ask for a PPG black that they mix and tell them not to mix anything with it -- just tell them you want the pure black. That would be the blackest I know of. I sell this pure black, but since you're on the east coast, it would probably cost a ridiculous amount to ship a 1 oz. bottle to you.
We'll be at Cedarville. Come see us at our tables so I can put a face to some of these names on the board. Look for the "Bob's Paint, etc." sign.

Caine,
This casting is far superior to the R&R. It's very thin and is a really nice casting. This has separate headlights and tailights, and we're working on doing the windshield now.

Got these last night at our model meeting from Jimmy. Mike Kollver did the masters. We'll have them available for purchase in DuPage.

Just completed a trade with plowboy (Roger Hayes). I'd never traded here before, and Roger walked me through the process and sent my model super-quick and in great shape. Great trader - wouldn't hesitate to trade with him again.
I tried the Grex at a show in Toledo and liked the way it fit my hand. The trigger is easier to manage. I've used a Badger and a Pasche but preferred the feel of the Grex.
Kevin, I have 1 bottle each of Olds serge blue, crest blue, canto cream, chariot red. If you email the colors you want either tonight or early Friday , I might be able to get them for you for Sunday's show.
