I got this a few months ago and finally got around to building it. I was pretty excited to see it when it was announced. I never thought I'd see a kit of a Canadian vehicle, let alone a Canadian Mercury truck! The kit itself isn't too bad. My only problem being the installation of the clear pieces. Which they tell you to do from the inside. The windshield needs to be placed in from the front. The fit to the frame is also a little hard to get right. Installation of the lettering for the decals kinda sucks too. Each letter is its own decal. Not fun to put on and I lost the M for the hood. Which is quite small. Over all though, it is a very nice kit and a welcome addition to my collection. Hey y’all I’m building this T600 monogram here’s progress for today. put the stickers on that came with the kit.and the painted chassis and bumper.the painted bumper: added the lights.and then put the plate on there. That’s all for today!not really anything today but got the suspension painted black.glued the front axle on the chassis.MOCK UP!!! painted the thingy rustoleum black chassis done just got to put the gas tanks on put the stickers on the mud flaps.put it on the flaps on the car!OK, y’all I painted the gas tank with sharpie masked the bottom thing and painted with Testors Black and we are letting it dry.did the other side of the thing testers black.here’s the chassis put the tanks and there lookin good 👍 painted the thing and the transmission.put the thing on the back wheels.put the transmission on the chassis.painted the interior rustoleum black.then I did the pillow testors white

I got this kit mainly because I liked the look of it on the box art. Though I didn't know the hood gap would be that much. Makes for an odd looking truck. The kit isn't that bad, but it's not great either. It went together surprisingly well. Painting it was probably the hardest part. I still don't understand why there was no decal for the FORD on the back of the truck or why there are no inside walls for the truck bed. Makes it look kinda stupid. Still, it came out looking OK. In the 1950s the Seashore Trolley Museum built a large trailer to cross the country to rescue surplus trolley cars for its collection. They called it the "Highway Monster". It was made of structural steel around a salvaged bogie and frame. I have been wondering for decades the source for the bogie. I'm presuming it dated to the 1940s, but I could never get an answer. This thing was difficult to photograph well, but I did manage to take measurements. Can you identify the make of the bogie? (Photos from 1992).

Ok here's another project that i've had in my stash for over a year and brought it out occasianly when i got in the mood to work on it. I had bought the resin cab 54 abd removed the grille and was gonna chrome it and work on the resin cab, but after looking at it i decided why not try and use the 50 chevy cab for better plastic fitment and make my own 54. So little by little i had worked on it from an old spare 50 cab i had and started from the grille work back. So today i brought in with me to work and got back into it. Here is were i'm at on it so far. Reworking the front fenders, windshield, upper vent and fixing some cracks the cab had. I will also be making the correct rear bed sides as the 54 had them flat tops.

Starting way too many projects at one time again. I was thinking that I could build a tribute to my cousins f-250 custom that he bought new back in 1973. I remembered 2 Dremel bits that I had that make the job a snap (right?). Well, I quickly regretted starting that. Turns out you need a much mor stedy hand to pull this off. I only finished one side of the cab and now I had to go back and put filler to correct all the inconsistencies in my snap chrome removal. Bad idea.

This White Western Star morphed from an east coaster to a west coaster. In the process, the chassis was lengthened, as was the sleeper, & it got dual exhaust among some other goodies. The paint is a nice tasty cinnamon & chocolate.

Hi Guys I am a brazilian modeler and new in the car modeling universe. I´d like to build the 1979 Ford Bronco as seen in the 240 Robert TV show. I am using the 1/24 Monogram ´80 Ford Bronco 2 ´n 1 model kit but the tires and wheels are not accurate. Could you please tell me where to get the correct set? Many Thanks in advance

These lovely 1:24 or 1:25 scale fire trucks are part of the collection of a small fire-fighting museum in Brockton, Massachusetts. My notes credit Dave Frazer as their builder. There are also a few examples of horse-drawn apparatus among the collection that I believe were built or modified from a particular range of mixed-media "craftsman kits" produced here in Mass. in the late '40s / early '50s era. I had several kits and projects going a few months ago, then took a leave of absence to remodel my house. I never liked the yellow wheels or the graphics on this model, so my first mods were to change that. I removed all of the graphics and painted the wheels black. I'll make new water slide decals for the finished wrecker. I saw another wrecker on eBay pretty cheap, and a 1:24 resin dump body and thought it would be cool to make a 1953 dump truck. Last night I got the first wrecker disassembled, and that was no easy task! Getting this all put back together will be a challenge to say the least.

Thinking about getting another 66 Suburban to do as a 4x4. Wondering where to find suspension parts to do this. Does anyone do a resin conversion for this kit, or is there a kit that would work. I don't want a drastic lift like the MPC Deserter pickup, but more of a stock 4x4 height.

My third diorama begins. The theme is around whiskey. I decided to build a section of an older building with an arch as the entrance to the club. There will be a section of some sort of water body on the right.

Hello everyone. I’m new to scale modeling and this is my first diorama ever. I have been experimenting with preserved sheer moss, which I have used as grass. Please, feel free to critique and give some input. It’s still a work in progress as I’m waiting for some materials to arrive. I will repost with updates as I add more details.

I want to make a model of my son's 1:1 1981 Chevy truck he inherited from my dad. I've got the body itself sorted out, including scratch building the camper shell, but I need to figure out the grille. I did a Google search and found a picture of a model with the correct grille. The grille looks like it is resin. I'm looking for that EXACT grille.
