  1. I like it too, and wonder how difficult it would be to scratch-build . . .
  2. Bryan, that body and grill came from The Modelhaus. I believe it is still available.
  3. Yes, I am making progress . . . stay tuned in, my friends.
  4. Yes, I use the same technique Bryan mentions above . . . .
  5. LOL, Jim, don't worry the updates will be here waiting for you. As a matter of fact, I am going out for my morning walk and then I am hitting the bench. It's a glorious Friday here with the sun and the birds and a coolness in the air that's perfect for getting some bench time in. . . . cheers and happy TGIF.
  6. Thanks, Erik, I am almost done with the theater and then I can get back to finishing the model. I just printed a sheet of scale dollar bills and the TOOSEXY license plate. I just have to finish the engine and the interior and it should be good to go. Thanks for staying tuned in . . . .
  7. Not necessarily, but after you lay down the tape, I would suggest a little bit of SG100 to seal in gaps in order not to get jagged edges, etc . . . and then pull the tape at an angle a little against itself so that it cuts in smooth straight lines. Good luck.
  8. Looks like a quick build and wonderful kit, an excellent contender too for building something futuristic out of it. Thanks for sharing, Mr. H.
  9. Nice models for sure, and even better are the pictures with the model in that photo op base. Do you have any information on how you put the base together? Excellent work.
  10. I like it, is this for the cartoon build off that Ira's got going?
  11. It might be a tight fit, but it's looking good, and I hope you finish this one soon. Keep it going, Mr. B.
  12. Thank you, Jim . . . stay tuned in for a bit more progress . . .
  13. Shane, do you have a link to that video or a Channel name? Thanks.
  14. I know these are not considered cab overs, but I am also enamored of these vehicles . . . most of which I imagine are extremely difficult to find. Not even in movie productions . . . like the dinosaurs they've disappeared forever . . . . I found another great example of a cab over . . .
  15. Thanks for the good information, Aaron. And Steve, I hope you get back to it soon.
  16. Thanks for posting that truck, Shane. It's very cool.
  17. Oh, I misunderstood, I thought you were making a set of these for a model.
  18. It makes it in plastic or metal? Interesting possibilities.
  19. I think in most conventional wars (no war is really conventional) but you know what I mean, countries that set up factory style building of weapons, etc . . . begin wars with a lot of equipment which then gets modified in the field or painted in the field to match the terrain the vehicles will fight in . . . WW2 served as a testament to that kind of modify-as-you-go. The Russians converted plenty of German vehicles . . . the military builders whose work excite me are rendering these types of models now . . .
  20. I believe you, Ed, I would have never thought they would be comfortable or pleasant to drive, but I must confess I really like the way they look . . .
  21. Getting the walls ready, stay tuned in for some more progress . . . I keep testing the look of everything. Man, thank heavens most of this stuff is movable and portable.
  22. Boy, now you are turning up the heat. These are going to look great. A little body work should do it.
  23. I have seen these as Diecasts in several scales (Maisto?) and I have to say I like them quite a bit. I know there are some resin ones out there for the 50 Chevy, etc . . . I just love the rounded features. Maybe it's an acquired taste.
  24. Mark, that sounds like an extreme case of close-mindedness. Most of the military builders I know thrive on pushing the boundaries of their builds . . . At the end of the day, I build what I like the way I like it, that's it . . . and if someone else likes it so much the better, but it is not what makes me want to build.
  25. I don't know what era these were most popular in, but I tell you seeing some of these beauties really make me wonder why they faded . . . They also make great modeling subjects . . . right? Are there extreme cases of these in the 30s and 40s?
