  1. This brought back lots of memories, and so I want to share it with you all . . . there really is something pure about styrene addiction, no matter your age or skill set . . . enjoy:
  2. Dr. Cranky

    Psycho

Pure eye candy, THANK YOU, Miguel. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
  3. Outstanding weathering, and very nice subject matter too. And I can't believe you used styrofoam for the base and made it look so good. Excellent all around. Thanks for sharing, Charles.
  4. Derrick, I don't know how I missed this one when you first posted. Great model. It belongs on the box cover.
  5. To all the fine ladies out there who gave birth and nourished all the great modelers here, a hearty great Mothers' Day to all. My mother is visiting the Lab-RAT-ory and I am cooking up a fine meal for her and my wife. NO, NOT SCRAPPLE! LOL! My mother has always been supportive of my hobbies and art, and trust me, I've had several hobbies that she found disturbing like the 7 years I spent breeding show canaries (long story!). Now that she is older, she sits with me sometimes and drinks her tea and watches me build . . . and I have to say it's some of the best, most tranquil and peaceful time at the bench. I hope everyone will chime in in praise of how your own mother nurtured your own creative life. Best wishes and cheers, Doctor Cranky
  6. Very nice works space, Jon. I hope you also have a chair with a back so that you can give your back a rest.
  7. Mike, thank you for bringing us back the great eye candy. You and George are providing us with plenty of it this weekend. THANK YOU. Great pictures of Ken Hamilton's ARCADE DIORAMA.
  8. Brendan, you can find Liquitex airbrush medium at your local Hobby Lobby, art supply store or craft store. You should not have any trouble finding it, but if you do then turn to Amazon and you'll find it there. A bottle of the stuff will last you a lifetime.
  9. Ron, I love it. I copied the pictures to the next TZH SQUAD video update. Great build.
  10. LOL, Jim, the earrings are for the DISCO BALLS! Not for my ears. I've never pierced my ears but maybe I should, this way Doctor Cranky can play PIRATE once a year. Arrgh! Fixative you can find at your local art or craft store. It's a sealer which is a good idea, but if you've never had any trouble with your inks running, then I guess you don't need it. BTW, Dullcote works the same as a fixative.
  11. The best way to do it is to prepare a mixture of 25% distilled water and 75% airbrush medium (Liquitex) and then thin your paint with it. I always spray my acrylics and hit them with a few minutes of hair dryer time.
  12. Thank you for bringing us back the eye candy and sharing it, George. What a great bunch of models on those tables. Congrats to all the builders and participants.
  13. I love them both, but I really like the 51. Very nice.
  14. That is one beautiful and shiny model. A keeper that's for sure.
  15. Thanks, folks, I am on cooking detail today for Mothers' Day, but I hope to make some progress on the interior and the engine by tomorrow. Do stay tuned in. Happy Mothers' Day to all the fine ladies out there who birthed so many of these wonderful model builders!
  16. It all looks great, buddy. It looks like you are getting an energy boost from all these wonderful builds you want to create. That's what it is all about. Keep 'em going.
  17. Welcome to the forum, Steve. Looking forward to more progress pictures. Hang around and have fun. Happy styrene journeys.
  18. Thank you, Tim, you keep one of the best archives out there. Thanks for keeping it organized and available to the TB fans!
  19. I like it, and hope you keep making progress.
  20. Lordy, I love that terrain, you've got a good feel to that one, Rob. Nice eye candy and I can see you feeling young again playing in the dirt. Wait, you ARE young. LOL.
  21. Nice picture. I like the car.
  22. Here's a quick video of where and how I get my graphics . . . hope you enjoy. Watch
