  1. Another cool build. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Wow, lots of amazing details. All these pictures clearly show how much of a blast your are having building this one.
  3. Came back for seconds and more drooling.
  4. Ultra smooth and beautiful. The little color accents in the interior beckon the eye to look. Nice work.
  5. Way to go, Ray, it's a beauty. It stands out in that color. Nice model.
  6. Rick, you are bringing up a good point. It's the reason why many of us go through great lengths to removed imperfections and the other stuff that would render a model into looking like a toy.
  7. I like these, and yes, I like their swoopiness.
  8. Harry, the last VCR we bought I think cost us like 27.99. And document printers have plummeted in price too. It's the nature of the best. Someone has to make money after the research, the invention, etc . . . etc . . . etc.
  9. Thanks, Chris. I think within the next 5-8 years, many of us will have one. I think they will become as cheap as the printers we use for documents.
  10. Again, I really love those surfboards. The model turned out beautiful too.
  11. Looking good, Tom. For a minute I thought you were using coffee grounds. Can't wait to see this one come together.
  12. Beautiful build. Those surfboards really add the crowning touch.
  13. It'd make a great diorama. Base + tree + car. Great title already.
  14. I like the contrast between the front and the bed. Nice work.
  15. Very well painted and built. Congratulations.
  16. Wow, it's been a while but between the great work of The Michigan Madman (Mr. Chuck Most) and our collaboration, this one is done: WATCH THE VIDEO HERE:
  17. I normally stick with the retail price or try to get the good discounted deals at shows or through the retailers that offer 40%-50% discounts, but Harry is right, once you start to add the aftermarket parts, etc . . . the price of the model does increase considerably.
  18. Printrbot is even cheaper: http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/310-0001&scode=GS401&CAWELAID=1891280047?catargetid=1545764029&cagpspn=pla&gclid=COvno_y6_7gCFYui4AodDncA_Q
  19. Right now 3D STUFFMAKER seems to have the lowest price, but the quality of their printing looks a little sketchy to me. http://www.3dstuffmaker.com/
  20. I know the issue has been discussed before, but my intention here is to provide a thread where we can begin to track how prices plummet and 3-D PRINTERS become a reality on our work benches. Again, my intention is to provide an at-a-glance list of models and prices, companies, anything that keeps the attention on the development of these mini (mighty) machines that will one day soon take up room in a corner of our work bench. I was looking around at the different models, and this one seems (I believe this is the same one advertised by Office Depot, Staples, Office Max) but it's available through B&H. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=985299&Q=&is=REG&A=details.
  21. Looks smooth and modern. Really nice.
  22. Joel, as much as I would love to take credit for this one, it's Donn's model. He built it. Donn simply keeps his build archives in my Fotki archives. I just post them here to share them with the rest of the world.
  23. Oh, what a beauty. Great color and finish.
